English Manor Dorset Wool Rug – Blackberry

A deep blackberry with crisp ivory texture. Dorset pairs a near-black blackberry shade with ivory in a raised, high-low weave, so the pattern comes from texture rather than print. It adds depth and contrast to a light room and stands out against pale floors and white walls.

Hand knotted wool and cotton. Hand knotted in India from a wool and cotton blend, with a 1/2" high-low pile that gives the surface its sculpted, dimensional feel. It's soft underfoot and lighter in weight than a thick-pile rug. As with any natural fiber, expect some shedding at first that eases with gentle vacuuming.

Designed by Jill Zarin. Dorset is part of Jill's English Manor collection, a textured take on relaxed country-house style for a modern farmhouse or a crisp coastal-grandmother room. Blackberry pairs beautifully with natural oak, matte black metal, charcoal upholstery, cognac leather and bright white.

Sizes for every room. Choose a rectangle from 2' x 3' up to 10' x 14', a runner up to 12' long, or a 7'10" or 10' square. In a living room, pick a size where at least the front legs of the sofa and chairs sit on the rug (usually 8' x 10' or 9' x 12'). In a bedroom, let it extend about 2 feet past each side of the bed. Because Dorset is lightweight, we especially recommend a rug pad to keep it flat and in place.
