About Jill

Jill Zarin is an American businesswoman, author and reality TV personality. She is best known as an original cast member on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City. Zarin is also the Founder and owner of JBZ Enterprises. Her business interests include Private and Public Equity Investments, Commercial and Residential Real Estate and management of Jill Zarin Home licensed products. 

She leverages a social media base of 2.5 million followers to build awareness and increase sales conversion for her brand and a select portfolio of consumer product clients. 

Zarin was born and raised in Woodmere, New York on Long Island as the daughter of Sol and Gloria Kamen. She has one sister, Lisa Wexler, a judge and radio host and executive producer of The Lisa Wexler Show. Zarin graduated from Simmons College In Boston in 1985 with a degree in Retail Management.

She joined her husband Robert Zarin, owner of Zarin Fabric Warehouse - an institution on New York's Lower East Side since 1936 - as a marketing consultant soon after they married. Jill is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York. She is devoted to her family and is a dedicated mother to daughter Allyson. She is also quite fond of the littlest member of the Zarin clan, Pomeranian, Miss Bossi.

In January, 2018, Bobby succumbed to cancer after a long and courageous battle. 2019 has been a turning point in Jill's life with the much-celebrated graduation of Allyson from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and her expanding business empire into interior decor with the highly successful inaugural year of Jill Zarin Rugs.

Robert Zarin, dedicated family patriarch, businessman, and community leader, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Born February 27, 1946, to Miriam and Harry Zarin on New York's Lower East Side, Zarin Traveled the globe, while never straying far from his roots. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife Jill, they were each other's soulmates and best friends.

Zarin is also survived by his adoring, and adored children from his first marriage to Eileen J. Zarin (Schwartz), David (Jill Cohen), Jennifer and Jonathan, and stepdaughter Allyson, granchildren Micah, Lila and Asher. Zarin was loved by all, including his sisters Lenore and Zina, his sister-in-law Lisa, his brothers-in-law Marty and Bill., numerous nieces and nephews, and legions of devoting and loving friends.

Zarin fought his brave battle with cancer with characteristic good humor, and grace. He and Jill truly enjoyed every moment of everyday together, creating special occasions, and memories whenever, and wherever possible.

Zarin was generous and kind and touched the lives of many. He was patient, and considerate, selfless, and altruistic. His presence will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. The Zarin family takes comfort in their faith, and in knowing that they will one day be together again.
