Jill Zarin Exclusive Blog Reunion Pt 2

I've had a crazy few days as it's market week and we have been promoting Skweez Couture By Jill Zarin. I know it is not coming out until September, but I have already seen the Spring collection and I love it so much and I am so excited!! Sign up for Skweez newsletter at SkweezCouture.com to keep up with all of the exciting happenings! I spent so much lovely time with my family last week. It was a blessing having everyone together. I'm helping Ally get ready to go to her new university. It's going to be harder for me this year. Last year she was a short train ride away. This year she is attending a school down south and I could go a few months without seeing her. I will miss her terribly and worry about her even more than usual. They grow up too fast. Can you believe how fast season four went by? I can't believe it is over. What a season it was! Morocco, Luann's music video, meeting and befriending Cindy, and the craziness; so many memories, some good, some not so good, but I try to be myself and believe that I am doing my best to be the best person I can be. Do I always succeed? Of course not. But we are all human. All of us. I'm still rather upset with Ramona. Not at the fact that she was inaccurate about whether I am an alcoholic or not. But the fact that she found it completely fine to "out" someone in a program that is anonymous. I worry about how this will effect people watching this who may now fear going to AA and getting help with their problem. Ramona claims that she did not know that AA was Alcoholics "Anonymous." I find that hard to believe. She knows she is wrong. Why can't she just own up to it? On my website I have already received letters from people showing concern over Ramona's careless words. One letter stated that her sister had just joined AA but was now worried that she would be outed and it could effect her new job. This is horrible. There is no shame in going to AA, whether it is for yourself or to support a friend or a loved one. I think Ramona and the rest of us need to realize that there is a responsibility as to how far we should take our snarky remarks and opinions. When you are on television, people get influenced by your words at times. This is not a good message to have out there. I can only hope Ramona takes some time to reflect upon this and realizes where to draw the line in the future. Here is a link to AA for more info. Alcoholics Anonymous I want to add, I did appreciate Ramona's public apology to my stepdaughter Jennifer Zarin. Ramona's words hurt us all deeply, but apology accepted. Of course Alex never accepts my apologies, that is why I said I was done. Not everyone can be friends, but I believe we can all be cordial and that's how I intend to be towards her and her husband in the future. I have seen and heard too many things they have said, not just about me, that make me not want to be their friends. It's as simple as that. I have tried for four years and at some point you have to say "enough" and let go. The constant back and forth of the situation just isn't healthy. I really do feel I have changed since last season, but I think Ramona and Alex expected me to change only to their liking. I changed to make myself a better person and to smarten up and realize who my real friends are. I would like to thank all of you for subscribing to my newsletter. This was my first season of doing weekly newsletters and I am truly grateful to all of you who have written me and shared your opinions and personal stories. Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. I am still going to do weekly newsletters and I want your input. I am already planning a recipe club, travel tips, etc. Please post your comments on JillZarin.com and tell me what else you would like to see here. At this point I do not know what the future holds for me on Real Housewives, but as soon as I know I will share it with you. Love, Jill XO

Jill Zarin Exclusive Blog Reunion Pt 1

Hello everyone. I hope you all enjoyed watching Part 1 of the Reunion. I had a great time watching it with Cindy Barshop and some friends. Firstly, I would like to say that I love hearing from all of you who write me. I have been very fortunate to be flooded with emails from you but it is getting a little difficult to manage them all. So please, instead of emailing me, leave your comments on JillZarin.com. I will see them all more easily and timely. If you have an autograph request, a recipe, a travel tip, or want to share something that is of a personal nature please email me at jill@jillzarin.com and my assistant will handle accordingly.

Thank you all for all the nice compliments last night on how I looked! I very much appreciate them. Many of you asked how I get my hair so straight. Blow dry and then flat iron. Simple. The amazing necklace I wore is from Carolina Amato.

I normally don't like writing blogs that contain very little positivity. Throughout the season I know our blogs can get very catty toward each other but I always try to add the nice things as well. Bobby and I always say peace and love is the most important thing. I try really hard to stay on that path. When it comes to blogging about a Housewives reunion, unfortunately it's just not going to be filled with pleasantries. Bravo gets us together at the end of each season to talk about the controversies that went on throughout the season and the ensuing months. Needless to say there's not a lot of positivity to write about, so all I can give you is my honest opinion on a few of the situations discussed.

When Ramona and Alex set me up early in the season at the wedding I reacted to what they did and called Alex a name. But what did they expect? They did it to get a reaction. The only thing I regret is the language I used. Remember, this was before we made our truce. Alex used this to retract our truce. In the five months since we burned that paper I did not talk behind her back. Every chance she got, she took a shot at me. The things she said about me on camera this season were before she knew what I said about her at the wedding. Everything she said was after we had a so-called truce. I'm an honest person. When I made the truce with her I meant it and I kept it. Yet I watch the show and I hear her telling Simon that she never really liked me, etc... Also in her and Simon's blogs this season, they never missed a chance to take a shot at me. So why forgive Sonja who never gave an apology, yet break our truce? Alex said something to the extent of "real friends fight and make up." If that was the case and Alex wanted to be my real friend she would have let that go like she did with Sonja. She realized she couldn't fight with everyone and still stay on the show so she chose Sonja's friendship. That's her choice, but she never should have led me to believe that she wanted to be my friend. It's obvious that she was playing on both sides of the fence. She was looking for a reason to fight with me and used something I said under my breath once over four months of filming against me.

It takes both people to make a friendship work. When Simon threatened me, I could have done the same thing she did but I chose peace over pettiness. I wish Alex would have done the same. The truth is I did like Simon and Alex when I met them and I would have much preferred to spend the past four years building a friendship instead of tearing each other part. Sadly, I was not surprised to hear Alex condones aggressive behavior from her husband toward her friends or women in general. It was obvious all season as she never stepped up and spoke to Simon about the things he was doing and saying to any of the Housewives.

Did you happen to notice Ramona's body language when she doesn't want to talk about something? When it was brought up about Mario confronting me recently, Ramona just wanted to skip it instead of apologizing for Mario's inexcusable behavior. Andy wouldn't let it go. This was a party held by a mutual friend of ours and there is also another mutual friend of ours who was witness to Mario shoving me with his hand and getting in my face and saying "I want to talk to you." Ramona needed to acknowledge that it happened and ask her husband to apologize. She at least admitted that she didn't see the incident which is different than what she said in the press after it happened. We all got choose what we say in our intros this season and it's interesting to note how Ramona wanted to present herself. "If people can't handle the truth it's really not my problem." This reinforces her pattern of hurting peoples feelings and not caring about what people think and feel. We all say things sometimes in anger and I'm as guilty as the next person but at least I'm adult enough to apologize.

I honestly got very upset that Ramona continued to bring up Luann's children. Before season one we all agreed, no kids, keep the drama between us. Ramona crossed the line and went as low as she could go. Ramona has no boundaries for the emotional damage she causes. She can give it but she can't take it. For the past two seasons she has relentlessly talked about Luann's marriage. Yet when I commented (what I thought was a private conversation, as you can see the camera didn't see me only heard me) she thought it was the worst thing ever. She can dish it out but can't take it. It's obvious how uncomfortable she made Luann. Ramona wouldn't let it go, she kept hammering her and I couldn't take it. Someone had to stand up and say "enough" and I literally did. I walked off the set. Ramona should check her own house before throwing stones.

I want to take a moment to get something straight regarding Bethenny. Ramona continues to say that she tried to help Bethenny and me make up. What she's not saying is that the day Luann and I went to her house it was 9am and we thought we were going to help her clean out her closet. I had no idea that Bethenny was going to show up, but Ramona made sure that Bethenny knew that I would be there. Ramona knows that I do not do well with surprises in stressful situations. It was the wrong time to get my mind ready. The island was her chance to make things right and yet Ramona threw me out. Despite Ramona and Alex's efforts to keep us apart I am happy to say that Bethenny and I have since been in contact. Who knows what the future will bring.

I want to end by saying this. The blondes continue to think that just because they say things it makes them true. In answer to that philosophy I have this to say, "You stop lying about me and I'll stop telling the truth about you."

Until next week.

Love,
Jill XO

Jill Zarin Exclusive Blog Episode 15

Hello everyone. Bobby and I just came back from a fabulous trip to London. We went to visit our friends Robbie and Ayda Williams and to see Robbie and his band, Take That play two incredible shows at Wembley Stadium. I can't even begin to tell you what a great time we had. The British people were amazing and they love Americans. While there we did a lot of tourist type activities, including visiting Windsor Castle, sightseeing and of course we shopped at Harrods. I also ate so much fish and chips I almost had to swim the Atlantic Ocean to get back home!
We flew Virgin America Upper Class and it was fabulous. They no longer have spa services, but they did provide us with access to their Upper Class Lounge at Heathrow. Also, when you fly in Upper Class you go through a private security line for boarding so there's no wait. Here's a travel tip for you. If you are buying duty free make sure you do it at least an hour and half before your flight is scheduled to depart. I waited too long to make my purchases and the duty free was closed to my flight. Apparently they have one person who brings everything that people have purchased to the plane and once he has left he cannot come back. Duty free is then closed to the flight.
When I got home I filmed an episode of Iron Chef America on Food Network where I am a guest judge. It was so much fun. I can't tell you much else at the moment as the episode won't air for awhile. I will tell you though that I am on my way to being an official foodie.
On tonight's episode you see me having a brain scan. I was actually surprised to find out that my memory is above average. In hindsight, I guess I do have a pretty good memory. I just lack focus sometimes and that causes me to forget things. This is something I constantly have to work on. While I was having the brain scan I kept asking Sonja questions about why she didn't want to be in Luann's video. It wasn't important if she wasn't in the video, but I could sense she wasn't being honest. Luann and Sonja have been friends for over ten years. It was important to Luann and sometimes you have to do things for other people. Even if she just went to Atlantic City to show her support for Luann it would have been better than not going. Bobby took the day off and drove two and a half hours to be there. Cindy came down later in the day and even though she wasn't in the video, she was there for Luann. It's a shame that Bravo chose not to show that.
I'll leave it up to you to decide whether Ramona's argument about parenting styles with Luann was valid considering the scenes Ramona has done over the past four years. The hotel scene with Mario, turtle time, just to name a few. I have my opinion and I'm sure you have yours. My daughter was not embarrassed to see me in an evening gown, sitting in the back of a limo or lounging by a pool in a robe. After all, it's not like I was in lingerie rubbing my husband's feet.
My jaw dropped when I heard Simon refer to Luann as Countess with the O removed. See you next Tuesday? OMG! What a horrible thing to say about your cast mate and friend of the last four years. Once again we see Alex defending the indefensible when she gave in and agreed about the boys being able to drink when they are seventeen years old. I also hope Alex was kidding when she said the word "class" was forbidden in her household. Why would "class" be forbidden but yet Countess without the O is acceptable?
It was a nice to see Ramona sharing a moment connecting with Avery doing something she enjoys. The Hip Hop dancing looked like a lot of fun and it was nice that Alex and Sonja joined in.
I thought it was great to see Alex and Simon having a party in support of the arts. What a great thing to do. I saw the hurt look in Simon's eyes when Mario made that comment about Brooklyn. Alex and Simon were trying so hard to impress their friends by hosting the art exhibit in their home. Even Ramona was embarrassed.
We had such a good time making Luann's video in Atlantic City. It was much more work than I expected but still fun. I wish Luann nothing but the best with her music career. I would like to thank Jersey Murray who was the stylist for the video. You saw him on the episode. He did such a great job. He just started his own agency blackicemanagement.com. I wish him great success. You can also follow him on Twitter @stylebyjersey.
I wanted to give a mention to Patti Dvorak who was helping me paint my apartment a few episodes ago. She is GIFTED and available to travel all over the world. Please check her out at http://pattidvorak.com.
One more episode to go! Please send me any healthy, summer recipes you would like me to share with everyone or any other ideas you may have for this newsletter. You can write to me at Jill@JillZarin.com.
Love,
Jill

Jill Zarin Episode 14 Exclusive Extended Blog

Hi Everyone,

As you read this I am in London with our friends Robbie and Ayda Williams for his European tour with Take That. We are going to two sold out concerts this weekend at Wembley Stadium. We have a weekend planned with horseback riding, spa treatments and lots of great food. I will post photos in my next newsletter.

Tuesday we rang the opening bell at NASDAQ! I was surrounded by family and friends and it was an amazing thrill. It was in honor of my acting debut on White Collar which aired Tuesday night. It was the thrill of a lifetime and I hope to do it again one day. (It will be sooner than you think!)

We spent a great 4th of July weekend in the Hamptons with Kelly and her girls. Ally was with us too. We went shopping, had a bonfire, played miniature golf and I even played a little tennis with Sea. She has huge potential and I loved playing with her! I started doing pilates again, which works miracles for me. My parents are coming next week and I can't wait to just relax with them at the beach club. I really miss them.

I can't believe it is week 14 already. It seems like this season is flying by. Two more episodes to go and we are on to the reunion. This weeks episode was fun for me to watch. Allyson is in college and I miss her terribly. She decided to transfer this fall and will be attending school in the south. It will be fun to visit her there this fall! We are so proud of her. She continues to follow her passion and just returned from working with children in Africa. Allyson is an incredible person and I love her more and more everyday.

When we were having lunch, I nearly died when she told me she wanted to be a "sex columnist!" I would support anything Ally does, but a "sex columnist" !!! Maybe she was teasing me to see my reaction? Shopping with Ally is very special as well. As she has grown into a young woman, I value these times more and more.

What did you think about Luann teaching Victoria how to drive? I remember only a few seasons back Bobby and I were teaching Ally how to drive. Time flies.

Did you all enjoy seeing Chris March on the episode? He is a sweetheart and his new show Mad Fashion will debut on Bravo, August 2 at 10:30pm. Be sure to tune in.

I absolutely loved being in the studio with Luann and Chris and hearing Chic C'est La Vie for the first time. It is a fun song and I hope Luann does great with it.

I want to end all of this bickering about mean tweets etc. Bobby doesn't care when the girls go at it because, well, that's what we all signed up for. He does object to a man/husband attacking me in any way, (on the show or off). He doesn't think men should get involved in the fights. He thinks men need to be men and stay out of it.

Bobby and I both talked to Simon about our relationship and hope we can finally move to a more positive place. I decided to not publish anything or talk anymore about the hate, and move on to more positive and interesting things that we are all doing. I believe Simon feels the same and would like to just move forward. Honestly? It is so juvenile.

I have been busy working on expanding Jill Zarin products and wait until you see what is coming! I get so much feedback from each and everyone of you and I am developing products you have asked for. I can't wait to share what they are!

I want to close by thanking all of you for watching White Collar this week. I just received word that this weeks ratings were outstanding! "White Collar delivers season highs, ranking as one of the top cable telecasts of the day." How incredible is that!!

Have a GREAT weekend!! See you next week!

Love,
Jill XO

Jill Zarin Episode 13 Exclusive Extended Blog

I thought I would be lounging in the Hamptons this June. Boy was I wrong! I have had to come back to the city every week and this week was no exception. I think it was a record 6 nights out in a row which I haven't done in a very long time. Phoenix House Charity event in the Hamptons on Saturday, dinner with friends Sunday, Swan Lake Monday, Luann's CD launch party Tuesday and Cirque du Soleil Wednesday and a wedding Thursday night. Add to that meetings all day and I am literally pooped out! I should be looking forward to going out July 4th weekend and all I want to do is crash in bed and watch TIVO all weekend. Fat chance of that happening. Bobby loves going out and I don't want to ruin his good time so I will suck it up and smile. But all of you know what I REALLY want to do. SHHH. (Boy am I being honest this week!) I want to share a few details from this past weeks festivities. Bobby, Lisa and my niece Joanna and I attended the first performance of Swan Lake at Lincoln Center, Monday night. Irina Dvorovenko and Max Dvorovenko (yes they are married) were supposed to dance together and we were so excited to be there. Sadly, Saturday, Max had to back out due to injuries he has been battling this season. His replacement was wonderful but there is nothing like watching this married couple dance with the passion only a deeply in love couple can dance with. Bravo to Irina for a magnificent performance and I am looking forward to your next performance. Ballet is definitely an acquired taste, but once you are exposed to it, you can't help but fall in love with the art form and crave more. If you have never been, I encourage you to start with The Nutcracker Suite during Christmas and take your children, grandchildren or borrow someone else's! Treat yourself to a performance you will never forget. Promise. Tuesday night, Bobby and I celebrated the release of Luann's second song, Chic C'est La Vie. Kelly, Cindy and I were thrilled to be asked to be a part of the video and we all made it our business to get to The Borgata. When I told Bobby that the blondes were a no show, he jumped in his car at the last minute with his son Jonathan and his friend to come support Luann (and get in a little gambling on the side!) Jersey, her fabulous stylist, had practically no budget but managed to make it look like a big production. He had hair and makeup waiting for us and a roomful of clothes. We all felt like big stars. Fans were there to cheer us on but they had no idea what we were actually doing. We had so much fun. I called Cindy during the day to come surprise Luann even though she couldn't stay for filming. She made the effort and came 4 hours round trip and didn't make the final cut. Not sure why, but she showed up and that's what counts in life. I have had meetings about Skweez Couture everyday this week. I have the "design bug" back and will be coming out with lots of new product lines. My mission statement, " Beauty begins with a great foundation" says it all and now I am building the "house." I can't wait to tell you all the details but until the deals are closed I have to keep my mouth shut as hard as it is to do sometimes! I will probably spend the entire summer designing everything but it will be worth it when we see the fruits of my labor come to life in a store near you. Follow us @skweezcouture and LIKE us on Facebook. You can check out the new website at skweezcouture.com. A few months ago I filmed a TV show called My Favorite Place on HGTV. It will air this Saturday, July 2 at 6PM. I will give you a tour of my apartment with Nicole Gibbons, and Jonathan Adler will give design tips. If you haven't seen enough of me, my guest starring role on USA's White Collar will finally air Tuesday, July 5th. I will also be ringing the bell of NASDAQ to celebrate Tuesday morning's opening. Follow me on Twitter for behind the scenes photos, LIVE from everything do. I would love to hear what you think of my acting so please comment on jillzarin.com (remember...if you have nothing nice to say.....hahaha) Now onto this week's crazy episode.... We begin with Cindy's Vajewel party for Completely Bare. Everyone was having a good time until Simon came over to me while I was sitting with Kelly. He asked me to set a date to have a talk with him. I realize now he was trying to get camera time and make the show about him. If he really wanted to talk with good intentions he would have called me off camera, right? I felt a little on the spot so I said yes. Then Kelly jumped down my throat saying it was inappropriate. Was it? I didn't know what to do so I called Bobby. He is always the voice of reason and gives me the best advice. He said to say "no." Bobby thought it was weird for Simon to want to talk (film) with me alone. Bobby knew he was involved with haters and didn't want to give it any oxygen. Here is the truth. I am a reality star on a TV show. I realize that love, love to hate and even hate is part of the landscape. I signed up for that. But those people are total and complete strangers. Simon and Alex and even Ramona have engaged with these haters who have tried to hurt me and my family outside of the show. I would NEVER follow, talk to, invite to my house, be hosted by or communicate with someone who threatened another cast mate. We need to leave the drama on the show and support each other to the outside world. It was Simon's relationship with these people that prompted Bobby to speak with Simon at Avery's party. Even though Simon promised not to communicate with these people anymore, enough time hadn't passed yet for Bobby to feel comfortable for me to talk to Simon alone. It appears on the show that the only issue was what Simon was tweeting. That is not entirely accurate. Simon has hosted a person who has stalked me at my home and office, in their home for one of the boy's birthday parties. He knew exactly who she was, as he met her through another person who has seriously threatened my family to the point we had to call the police and postal service security. For them to deny it now is simply ridiculous as there is a paper trail a mile long thanks to my cyber assistants. As usual Bobby's instincts were right. My cyber assistants later discovered that Alex actually attended my anti-bullying luncheon the day after she and Simon entertained someone they knew to be my stalker, in their home. Not someone who just stalked me, but was also accused of stalking a former employee of hers. How would you feel? I went over and told Simon how I really felt about it. I was kind and gentle. I was NOT at all aggressive. Simon was not happy to say the least and actually THREATENED ME! He told me to watch out!! Watch out??? What the heck did that mean? Simon is over 6 feet tall and is an imposing figure. Was he going to hit me? What man threatens a woman? You would never see Bobby say that to a woman, ever. What he meant was that he was going to continue to support people that have stalked my family and sent me personal threats through the mail. Cyber-bullying is an overused word that is defined differently by anyone you ask. It means using the Internet to foster hate. Most of last season and during the time we filmed this season, Simon was doing a lot of that. After he was called out on it by Bobby at Avery's party, I was informed that he deleted his most egregious tweets. I will not tolerate bad behavior from children, so why would I tolerate it from grown adults? The fact that we are co-workers makes it so much worse. Simon has crossed the line and Alex can't control him. I'm a little confused about Alex's opinion about what's going on with Simon. First she says if someone is not friends with Simon, she can't be friends with them. Yet when Kelly confronted her about Simon she says they are two separate people and she wants no part of it. Sounds like a contradiction to me, what do you think? She then suggests that Kelly take it up with Simon directly. Why wouldn't Alex film a scene with Simon asking him to respect her cast mates wishes and "back off"? First Sonja had a problem, then I had a problem and now Kelly. Why doesn't Alex deliver "that" message? Alex has alluded in her blog once again that somehow I was responsible for Simon losing his job. Last summer Simon gave a press release stating that he resigned to start his own company. Which is it? I recently met a friend of the owner of the hotel Simon worked for who told me exactly what happened. If Alex wants to continue to blame me, I will share exactly what he told me really happened. I only wish all of us success. I was responsible for getting Alex a couple of appearances after season one when we were friends and I have had a few opportunities since that I could have shared with them if they would have stopped all of this nonsense. It has been in their control. After Alex and I had a "heart to heart" and agreed to start over, I really made an effort to build our friendship. After watching each week's episode I feel I was deceived. Alex stated in her "confessionals" throughout this season that she still didn't trust me and that she never really liked me. I wish she had just been honest with me and said she doesn't want to be friends and I would have respected that. Onto lighter scenes.... As everyone knows I love to decorate and fix little things in my apartment. I have to thank two people. "Patty the Painter" who did an amazing job painting my apartment in Venetian plaster and repairing lots of scratches on the walls and doors. Also, Aline Matsika who made some custom furniture for my bedroom and helped pick out some new fabrics to update the apartment. I am so busy that I sometimes ask professionals for help and I am so glad I did! How much did you love seeing Luann helping to paint my apartment while wearing her Skweez Couture tights? I love days like that when we get together as friends and just enjoy each others company. As I said last week, I wish it was like this with all of the ladies. Bobby and I are getting ready to go to England next week to see our friend, Robbie Williams in concert at Wembley Stadium. I can't bring Ginger so she will stay home with Ally. Ally is working at a local day camp and doesn't want to miss five days of work. We will miss her very much but I have to respect her work ethic. I am so proud of her. I know you will be bombarded with lots of 4th of July recipes, so I will add to the bunch. My friend Pamela Morgan is a foodie and chef and I want to share one of her most recent recipes from her newsletter. Last but not least I will be on my sister Lisa's radio show "Live With Lisa" live at 5:30 EST on Friday. Go to LisaWexler.com and click "Live." Please call in with questions that I know your dying to ask at 203-845-3044. Don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter. See you next week! Have a happy and safe 4th! Love, Jill XO

The 55,000th person to sign up will receive a personal phone call from me! We are closing in on it fast, so sign up now! Hello everyone, I've had an amazingly busy week since we last talked. I had a great time in the Hamptons last weekend where I hosted my friends from the Oprah show. I was so glad I was able to show them a nice time. I hope they enjoyed it. I was also able to play a little tennis with Luann and the girls, which is always fun. Allyson returned from an amazing trip to South Africa. I was so glad to have her home safe and sound. From there I went to Vegas with Bobby,  Allyson and Lisa where we attended a licensing trade show. It was very informative and fun at the same time! The only down side to the trip was the leaving of Allyson's laptop on the plane. I'm appealing to anyone in the Las Vegas area who may work or know somebody who works at the airport to please keep an eye out. I know it's probably long gone, but it doesn't hurt to keep trying. While I was in Vegas I flew to Los Angeles to appear on The Talk. It was an amazing experience and I want to personally thank Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete, and Lea Remini. They were all a pleasure to meet. Since writing Secrets Of A Jewish mother I have received hundreds and hundreds of questions asking for advice about all kinds of subjects such as parenting and marriage. If you have a question for my mom Gloria, Lisa or myself, please email me at Jill@jillzarin.com and one of us will answer. You can purchase Secrets at  barnesandnoble.com and most other booksellers. If you would like to buy an autographed copy, please visit Zarinfabrics.com. Please let us know who to personalize it to in the comments section of the order. Secrets was just published in Japanese, and the Russian and Chinese editions are coming soon. How proud we are of being published in 3 foreign languages! I can't tell you how exciting it was to see Skweez Couture on the episode! That day my partner  was in town and we were showcasing Skweez for the first time. I thought it would be a great idea to have the girls do a focus group because as I said in the episode, "Skweez is made for women by a woman." Who would have better input? Skweez was in its early stages when we filmed that scene. I can't wait until you see how far it's come since then. If you thought it looked great, now it looks fabulous. Look for it this fall, more details coming soon. Please visit SkweezCouture.com. I was surprised that Alex brought up Sonja's financial issues in the Skweez Couture showroom. When I walked in the discussion was well underway. I was worried that it wasn't coming out clearly so I was trying to help Sonja explain it. I know it may not have seemed that way. I think it was presented to make me look like a busy body, which has always been a running theme for me. I only care what Sonja thinks and she knows I was coming from a good place and only offered to help her anytime she needed it. When we were in Morocco we heard about the bankruptcy but I never said a word. When we came home I called Sonja and with much love, offered her my support and advice as we have always had that kind of relationship. My sister, an attorney, offered to give Sonja as much time as she needed to explain everything to her at no charge since she was being raped financially by teams of lawyers, from her divorce to her lawsuit and now bankruptcy. I asked her how she wanted to handle it on the show and that I would follow her lead. I love how Ramona continues to be insulted when she isn't invited to something but in her real life excludes people all the time with no explanation. She was upset that Cindy didn't invite her to Canyon Ranch and this time to my focus group. Alex is delusional regarding what Ramona does for a living. Since I met Ramona, she has claimed to everyone who will listen that she has been and continues to be the breadwinner of her family. Prior to Housewives she was the "closeout queen." She would buy distressed inventory from manufacturers and resell them to discounters and closeout stores as she showed in an earlier season. Alex is under the impression that Ramona was some kind of designer. Ramona can sell and certainly negotiate money. None of that has anything to do with why she wasn't invited. I lost a Kodak deal worth seven figures because of what Ramona said on the show. They told me such and in no uncertain words. As the old saying goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Ramona measures her success by how much money she has, and my philosophy couldn't be more different. When Lord & Taylor and Macy's said yes to buying Skweez Couture, it was one of the best feelings you can imagine. I am giving birth to a brand that will change peoples feelings about themselves. My mission statement is "Beauty begins with a great foundation." What you wear under your clothes will set your mood. I was so excited to show the line to Kelly, Luann and Cindy as I know they care about me and support me as I do them. I invited Alex to offer an olive branch but how could she be surprised I didn't invite Ramona? My partner knew our history and insisted she not come near anything for fear she would bad mouth it with no basis. Ramona is just too unpredictable. Maybe I should have told her in advance but she would have either bullied me into inviting her or been pissed I didn't want to, so I didn't say anything. OK, I'm a wimp! Besides, it was Ramona who said in season one, "you can't invite everyone to everything." Speaking of Alex, I must say I was absolutely shocked at how two-faced she was to me in this episode. At that point in time I thought we had buried the hatchet and were in a good place. She was supportive to me in Morocco regarding my talk with Ramona. What changed it? Was she realizing she wasn't getting in enough scenes? It seems to me that she spent the whole episode talking behind people's backs and putting herself in other people's business. This was extremely disappointing as it seems I was the only one that was sincere in the talk we had earlier in the season. When you didn't see any dinner but only coffee at Alex and Luann's meeting you knew it was going to be brief. I noticed there is a reoccurring theme with Alex. Much like when I had the talk with her, she seemed to be reiterating that Luann didn't listen to her. Alex seems to have a problem with thinking that she is not listened to. I think the reason for this is because Alex isn't coming to people with her own issues. She's fighting other people's battles instead. If people have a problem with someone sometimes it's best just to stay out of it and let people settle their own differences. In my opinion Alex is suffering from an identity issue on the show and is trying to find one by becoming a messenger. I think Luann made it very clear what happens to the messenger. Alex needs to realize that's it's not season 3 anymore. The ladies are standing up for themselves and not letting the backstabbing and mean words go by anymore. I've been called out on things plenty of times and I've handled it. Can she? Parts of the episode, I still maintain were like soft porn. I consider myself an aficionado on romance and could write a book with suggestions on how to seduce your man, but some things are just better left to your imagination. I thought Luann and Jacque's reunion was the most romantic of the three scenes because it felt truly authentic. Nothing feels the same as a new love. I thought Ramona's and Alex's sexy moves were overly staged and fake. OK I admit it, I am a bit of a prude when it comes to showing too much on TV.  Also, I always think to myself "what would Allyson say"? I can only imagine that some of the children might be scared to go to school tomorrow because they might get teased. We all know it doesn't take much to give a bully ammunition. I was actually so disturbed by the soft porn nature of it that I warned my fans ahead of time in case they watched the show with under age children. Yes, we got the memo that you love each other to death...can we move on now? I'd like to wish all of the Dad's and special men a very Happy Father's Day this Sunday. If you would like to win one of Bobby's ties and an autograph picture of the two of us, please enter my Father's Day Contest. The deadline for entries is Sunday night. Love, Jill XO

Jill Zarin Episode 10 Exclusive Blog

Hi everyone!

It is 100 degrees outside! It is August? I am really loving my time off and trying to reconnect with friends I haven't seen all winter. Last weekend Bobby's sister Zina and her husband came to visit us from Florida. We had a great time and went to a few BBQ's in the Hamptons. I went back to the city to see my friend Irina Dvorovenko in Lady of Camellias at the MET. I cried. It was a love story and Irina really brings all of her soul to each performance. We went backstage afterwards and she let me touch her stomach. She had just drank some water and it felt like an alien was trying to escape. She had danced intensely for 3 hours and her body was still recovering. I posted some photos on Twitter and Facebook. If you get a chance to be in NY on June 27th, she and her husband Maxim will dance Swan Lake. I can't wait to see them dance together!

This weekend I am hosting some of my girlfriends from Harpo/Oprah who were so generous and invited me and my family to see one of Oprah's final shows. They have never been to the Hamptons so I am obsessing over what to show them. I have spent the last week finalizing packaging for Skweez Couture. I can't decide which colors to go with and I hope I don't make any mistakes. I am going to Las Vegas this week for a trade show and then back to the Hamptons. Allyson comes home this weekend from Africa. I will post some of her photos in next weeks newsletter.

We very recently hit 50,000 newsletter subscribers. Thank you all so much. That 50,000th person was Debbie Clark from New Hampshire. She will be getting a phone call from yours truly!  Thank you all so much. The next goal is 55,000 and that person will receive a call as well.

I really wish I believed Ramona's feelings about our talk. I, along with many of you, thought it was an act and she has continued to lie about me in her blogs which shows the kind of person she really is. She hits below the belt and thinks it's ok. I can't listen to her continue to say she sometimes puts her foot in her mouth and thinks that it is alright to do so. Only to then throw stones at me if I say something she doesn't like. I really don't know what to do about our relationship at this point. I guess we'll see what happens at the reunion.

I don't see the chemistry between Alex and Ramona and I think that is also an act. More so on Ramona's part. I guarantee after the show ends, Ramona never sees Alex again. Sound familiar? You never see Bethenny tweet or talk about her "best friends" from last year, do you? I am real. If I want to be friends with you, it doesn't matter if there is a reality show or not, I will make an effort off camera. I see and/or speak to Cindy, Luann, Kelly and Sonja outside of the show. In my heart, we are friends. After Ramona and I "talked" it was was comforting to be able to have real friends to go to. Upon watching the episode I was amazed at Ramona's ability to turn on and off the water works virtually at will.

The scene when Alex walked in on Luann was so funny. Alex said Ramona was vulnerable and sad giving us the image of her crying upstairs and all the while Ramona and Sonja were laughing and sneaking out of the house. Ramona's pain over our fight didn't last long did it? Alex is desperately trying to insert herself into scenes and sometimes things don't make any sense. Her stomping into the room with full drama just didn't work. It came across as a bad entrance in a play. Just as Kelly said about Alex being Alexa again on stage at Northwestern. I actually feel sorry for her.

The exchanges between Alex and Kelly seemed like a role reversal of Scary Island. I know I have tried to have a relationship with Alex so when we film it is real. A producer told me about the fight while I was getting my poodle hair done and I had two choices. One was to go back to my room and shower the hair out, the other was to walk into the scene and help her. I chose the latter. At that point I was really trying to be nice to Alex and see if we could have a friendship. I know she felt better after I walked over. I know I did the right thing.

The trip to Morocco was truly amazing, from the Riad, the Souk, the camel ride to the tent in the desert, just to name a few. I want to thank Luann for being the hostess. I know we're not the easiest group! It was also nice to meet up with my dear friend Brad in such an amazing place. In midst of all the drama I have special memories that will live in my heart forever. I hope that all of you enjoyed watching these episodes and seeing the beauty and mystery of this exotic country.

I've included some of my personal photos from Morocco in this newsletter. I hope you have enjoyed seeing them.

Have a great weekend!

Love,

Jill
XO

Jill Zarin Episode 9 Extended Blog

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I certainly did! Bobby's entire family came out to stay with us in the Hamptons and it was cooking and eating all weekend long. Luann and I went to the Miracle House Benefit at the Bridgehampton Beach and Tennis Club with my good friend Lance Bass. We had the most amazing time and we even got to play some tennis without the cameras there! My adorable nieces were there and I recorded some of the cutest videos. I have been tweeting during the episodes so please follow me on Twitter if you don't already. If you do follow me, thank you! I love reading all of your messages. Without all of you, I wouldn't want to do the show. Though we give up certain things like privacy, we gain so much from each and every one of you and for that I am the most grateful. When I am sad, you make me laugh, when I am scared, you give me courage. The one thing I miss about filming is our organized play dates. It was great getting together with Cindy, Kelly and Luann last week. We all share true friendships, on and off camera. In tonight's episode you finally got to see the camel scene that you have been seeing in the previews. I didn't think too much about the camel ride until Sonja wouldn't go. Now I know why. Clearly they are not trained animals and even if they were there is always a risk. I was just happy Luann was strong enough to stay on the camel and not fall off! Luann is a lot braver than I am! Now onto Rameana. Building up the courage to even talk to Ramona took a lot out of me. I have really tried to be a better listener and hoped to finally hear what I ever did to Ramona to make her act the way she does towards me. When she told me that she was holding on to a resentment about a sarcastic comment I made to someone at her renewal, "who could be married to Ramona"? or something like that, honestly I was surprised. If I got mad at every insulting thing Ramona or anyone else has said about me, I wouldn't have any friends. Ramona often says "I know I put my foot in my mouth sometimes" but yet she NEVER apologizes. I could bring up lots of petty things she has said about me and to me, but in life you need to let the small stuff go. I felt like we were in 3rd grade. "You said this about me and you said that." Honestly, Ramona needs to grow up and get some thicker skin. She can dish it out but can't take it. Ramona needs to decide on one thing. Does she want a friendship with me or not? All I wanted from Ramona was an acknowledgement that she hurt me deeply and was sorry. That if she could redo that day on the island, she would have tried to help me make peace. I walked into the house that day holding Bobby's hand, with a smile on my face. What did they want me to do? Walk in screaming "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I would love to see her act out exactly how she wanted me to walk into the house according to her rules. Ramona changes the rules to suit her needs. She decides what is acceptable for one person but does not use the same rules for another. She is BEYOND the definition of a hypocrite. The difference is now I won't accept it and never will. How can Ramona say I am not about feelings? I am all about feelings, in fact sometimes I sometimes feel to much and get hurt. I'd like to address a few of the things Ramona has said about me recently. I am sad to say, Ramona is truly mean and likes to put people down rather than build people up. (Look at the way she treated the young ladies she interviewed earlier this season) She is also a LIAR. She thinks if she says something people will automatically think it is true and sometimes they do. Honestly, I usually don't care about what she is talking about, nor do most of you, but recently she has questioned my honesty and integrity. That is where I draw the line and must respond. One thing people know about me is that I tell the truth. Ramona is receiving a lot of negative attention due to her own actions and instead of listening and learning from watching herself behave so badly, she is striking back every chance she can. Not only at me, but towards Luann, Cindy and Kelly as well. The difference between us? I do root for the underdog, and Ramona? She likes to kick a dog when it's down. It's that simple. I used to think Ramona and I were just being brutally honest with each other but deep down, we respected each other. I never crossed the line by discussing things I knew about her and her family. I realize now that Ramona has been using me to build herself up, but it is backfiring. Drinking and promoting alcohol in such an unhealthy way is a terrible image to present as a mother of a 16 year old. Ramona said she only drinks 1-2 glasses at dinner? Should I go back through the four years of tape and call out every time she drank without food? She is only lying to herself. Most recently, Ramona accused me of lying about the sale of my house in the Hamptons, saying that I still pretended to own it. A few of my wonderful fans were also irked by these comments and sent me the following links and video that clearly show that I have never hid the fact that I sold my house, in fact I was proud of our sale. I am showing these to let Ramona know, just because you say it, it doesn't make it true and I will always answer the call when my integrity is questioned. I now have to think about whether there is anything left of our friendship to recover. Jill Zarin Episode 8 Extended Blog

I want to start by thanking all of you for your kind support of my step daughter Jennifer Zarin, following last weeks episode. Please "Like" The Birthmark Project on Facebook. She is really connecting to so many of you who have shared your own "Birthmark" stories. After spending a busy week getting Ally ready for her Summer vacation and getting Bobby and I ready to go to the Hamptons, watching myself and the other ladies in Morocco seems like such a long time ago. But I will tell you, it was the "trip of a lifetime" in so many ways. The Riad we stayed in was absolutely fabulous. Kelly was right when she said it was "warm and luminous." I should have realized it was a sign of things to come when the blondes and the brunettes arrived separately. Did you notice the difference in the two arrivals? When Cindy, Luann, Kelly and I arrived, we were happy, excited and extremely impressed with our surroundings. But in watching the blondes arrive all I heard was a lot of criticism and complaining, mainly by Ramona. Alex seemed humiliated by some of the things she said regarding the poverty and the people. I felt so sorry for the driver who had to listen. One wonders where the term " Ugly American" comes from. Why would Ramona think Luann of all people would ever get us a house that wasn't 5 star magnificent? How funny or ridiculous was it (depending upon how you look at it) that Ramona emailed Luann a list of "needs" that included sheets, hand weights and Pinot Grigio? Don't they have wine in Morocco? I am still not sure whose trip it was. It seemed to me Luann did all the planning, at least that is what I saw when we got there, but Ramona has said Sonja planned it too. If so, why complain to Luann? You have Sonja to get your "list" filled. I have hosted more guests than I can count over the last 20 years in my vacation homes and NO ONE ever asked me for 600 count sheets, down pillows and free weights (5 pounds each). Even Andy Cohen couldn't believe the "rider" that Ramona demanded before she would go on the trip. The crew all snuck in bottles of Pinot. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I knew it wouldn't be long for the first bit of drama and it wasn't. Someone took Cindy's hangers. It may sound funny but Cindy was more angry at the pettiness of it than anything else. But what I truly love about Cindy is how quickly she is to confront such behavior. When she heard the girls talking about her she was on it in a flash. Watching it back, I am still surprised at just how separate the blondes chose to stay on the trip. I felt bad for Luann. She tried so hard to make it a happy, bonding trip for all of us. What I don't understand is that with all of the complaining about what Morocco looked like, why were they so quick to get out of the house? We all waited for them to arrive so we could have lunch together. Sonja told me they were going to get their hair. Why did they lie? If they were going to a famous hotel, why wouldn't they share that with us and invite us too? We wanted to see the hotel also but waited for them to arrive. They drew a line in the sand the minute they got there. This was supposed to be a friends trip to be together. We didn't need to be attached at the hip but it wasn't nice and not a good way to start the trip by separating from the group. The cameras were not allowed at the hotel and they knew it. Production was really angry that they just took a car and left. I would have left earlier to go shopping instead of waiting for them if I had known. We had an incredible time shopping. The clothes, jewelry, everything was so unique. I had told Brad that we were going to be in Morocco and I was excited that he would be there while we were. It was very generous of him to invite us all to a party. I felt bad about what I said. I love Brad but he does exaggerate and I admit it gets to me sometimes. We all wanted a tour and if he just told me he couldn't because it was a bed and breakfast it would have been fine. Instead he said everyone was sleeping. It was no big deal and I adore him. He can't stand Ramona and it was nice of him to let me bring her. He has told me some of the things she has done to him, things would make your skin crawl. The fortune teller was incredible. She told me my mom is always with me and that I had a hard year last year and it would be a better year this year. She said I should keep doing what I am doing and that my weakness is my big heart. I cried. Everyone else (except Ramona) thought she was right on. It was eerie. When she spoke to Ramona, the mood changed immediately. Watch next week to see more on that. Ramona doesn't know anything about Bobby and my business. We have owned all the cars we have. Bobby has had over 10 Ferrari's including the yellow one that was seen on the show a few seasons ago. We have never denied selling our house or lied about renting it back from the owner, which by the way, we sold at the top of the market when we realized that we never use it in the winter. In fact, recently Ramona told me she thought we were so smart and that they should sell their house since they rarely use it in the winter. Ramona has had her house up for sale, although it didn't sell and rents out her house during the summer and stays with different friends. I didn't exaggerate anything and and don't appreciate the dig. Trust me, this is just the beginning of the Moroccan drama. Wait until you see the next two weeks! Until then, have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.  You can find Skweez Couture on Facebook and @SkweezCouture on Twitter. Jill Zarin Episode 6 Extended Blog

Episode 6...here we go!
Cindy invited me over to see her apartment for us get to know each other. After all, we are going to spending a lot of time together! I knew she was friends with Ramona so I was a little nervous but I knew when I first met her she was my kind of girl. We both come from Long Island, both Jewish, and we are the same age.
I had just come back from Australia and was really shocked at the stories everyone told me when I came home. No wonder soap operas are being replaced by reality shows. You couldn't make this stuff up.
When Cindy said "Ramona's core is not good" it validated a lot of the feelings I have had over the years. We have a lot of friends in common. Cindy said "we have our ups and lows" (she meant downs) but we accept Ramona for who she is. What the heck does that mean? Why would anyone accept someone who makes so many condescending remarks and offers little respect to anyone? Cindy said "her core is not good." Is she right? I always try to find the good in people. I let a lot of things go with regards to Ramona and years have passed. Maybe it's time to take a serious look at our friendship. Ramona invited us to a wine tasting party this week. Even though Bobby had to come home from work a little early to make it, we showed up. Am a just a glutton for punishment?
Side comment..how cute are Cindy's little girls? I am available for babysitting!
Chris March, from Project Runway, totally outdid himself. He is so talented. Chris call me!
I have been to the costume store shown in the episode many times for many costumes but NOT the one I wore on Halloween two years ago on the show. I paid under $100 for the entire costume from FRANCO. (available at Halloween stores) If I rented something at this costume rental place it would have been around $350. I was really sick that day but didn't want to disappoint Sonja. I was on cold medicine so I was acting very silly! We tried on so many costumes, I was exhausted. Luann looks so beautiful in everything but the Scarlett O'Hara costume was perfect.
Meeting Cindy's ex boyfriend/baby daddy for the first time was interesting. I don't know what I expected but I wouldn't have picked him out of the "lineup." I see Cindy with a wall street banker (yin and yang theory). One thing I do know? These babies were the most wanted children in the world. Even though her situation is not traditional, if it works for Cindy, I am happy.
When Sonja is getting ready for the party, we hear her talking about her divorce putting stress on her financially. This is a premonition of what will come. When Sonja said "I don't have a man around the house", I wanted to add she has many and they are all so cute! I loved the car she was in! How fun would it be to be driven around in that all day!
Cipriani is a fabulous event space in NYC that is often used for charity events. They also have an exclusive wine cellar that I had heard about and was very excited. Sonja talks about her fabulous parties and when she said it was a masquerade ball I imagined a long table with waiters behind each chair lifting a silver plate cover at the same time. I actually went to one of those at MOMA last year and had created a fantasy in my head. Bobby and I brought three friends. Two were potential dates for Kelly. Ryan is the gorgeous one in the mask when I walk in. (I know, hard to tell with mask on!) A little inside info? Ryan is staring on Bravo's NYC version of Million Dollar Listing!
Ramona was a little "tweaked" when she arrived. Everyone really went all out with their costumes. I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I expected this elaborate dinner and all we were offered were hors d'oeuvre and drinks. Where was dinner? I told Bobby not to eat lunch because we were going to a big fancy party. Maybe it should have been called a masquerade cocktail party instead of a ball.
When Sonja bent down and I saw her tushie...I died! I immediately put my hand over it. My first reaction was she honestly left it at home. I asked Kelly and Cindy and they both thought she did it on purpose. I said no way! She would never want to show it on TV. never! Then when I saw this episode, did she say she left it home on purpose?
Alex and I were in a good place that night. Though we aren't meant to be the best of friends, I am still hopeful we can all get along.
Going with Cindy to the dentist was one of my favorite scenes ever! In our book Secrets Of A Jewish Mother we have an entire chapter dedicated to Beauty and Health. We give advice on how to find everything like the best Doctor to the dreaded word "exercise"!
Was the scene with Jennifer and Ramona staged? Ramona looked so shocked by the words the bride was saying as if they hadn't discussed it a thousand times. They both make me sick. I thought the bride and I were friends. After all, she asked me to recommend her to be a Housewife and get an audition which I did. I never thought in a million years the two of them would set me up. Ramona did it last year with Bethenny at her house and now with Alex at the wedding. Different circumstances but the same goal. To catch me off guard, press my buttons and get a reaction. Then when she gets a reaction, she blames and criticizes me for reacting. She openly admitted to enjoying doing this to me the morning of the wedding in episode one. Why didn't Jennifer tell me in advance that she invited Alex? She knew how I felt about her at the time and it should have been my decision if I wanted to go. Jennifer has told mutual friends that she felt used by Ramona. People left early and couldn't believe they weren't told there would be a film crew there. It didn't say anything on the invitation. People had to hide away from the eight cameras all over the yard. The music had to be turned off or worse, play Bravo house music due to clearance issues. It was embarrassing. I kept apologizing to people as if I brought the cameras. I didn't. Ramona did. Remember at Ramona's house she said "why tell Jill? That would ruin the fun?" So why is she so surprised if I was mad at Jennifer?
I had just came back from Australia and the party was my first time seeing Ramona since the wedding. My friend Vince drove me and I came to support Ramona as I always have in the past. I was having a nice conversation with some of the guests when Ramona had to pull me away and attack me. The bride was across the room. Again, Ramona is mad at me over something someone else said I said. I said, "bring her over"! I had NOTHING to hide. Whatever I said I meant. Details not important. He said, she said, all I know is Ramona invited me to her party to make a scene so her party wouldn't get cut from editing. That's how it works. If you have a lot of housewives and fight at your party, it is a virtual guarantee to make final editing. I showed up to Ramona's party to help her and once again, she uses me. But this time, I was calm. She was wired and acting insane. Everyone had been talking about her attacking Howie at Cindy's Birthday party and a lot of other things regarding Ramona.
Ramona refused to bring Jennifer over to talk to me to my face but she didn't expect me to see her on the way out. I spoke to Jennifer and it is what it is. We both remember it differently and will never agree as to what happened. But Ramona? She says I should talk to her face, I say "fine lets have lunch" and she says " I'll think about it"? She didn't expect me to be so calm. She thought if she pushed my buttons again I would react. I have changed. I listened to her "complaints" and offered to meet her alone for lunch to talk about it. I asked her a few times for lunch and and you will see what happens.
By the time she "balled me out" and embarrassed herself in front of all her guests, I was really hurt. I realized once again that no matter how hard I try to "show up" and be supportive for certain people, it will never be enough. If I was really bad mouthing her behind her back for years do you think it would have taken her this long to confront me? Are you kidding. Ramona has no self control and even if she wanted to hold it in, she couldn't. Ramona is a drama queen. He said, she said. Enough said.
I think I will take my toys and go home.

Love,
Jill XO
