Who’s straight-talking ‘Real Housewife’ Jill Zarin’s (r.) D.C. counterpart? We’d go with hardworking mom Michelle Obama.
Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise will soon introduce a new crop of wealthy women - this time from our country’s capital.
“We’re tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.’s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders - the people who rub elbows with the most prominent people in the country and easily move in the city’s diverse political and social circles,” says Frances Berwick, executive vice president of Bravo Media.
Casting is now underway for “The Real Housewives of D.C.,” but here are a few ladies we’d love to see in the reality show.
“Real Housewives of New York City” cast counterpart: “working mom” Jill Zarin
Obama balances bringing up daughters Malia and Sasha with the demands of being our First Lady. And she somehow manages to look great doing everything, even when walking the family’s new dog.
“Real Housewives of New York City” cast counterpart: “tough girl” Bethenny Frankel
The thick-skinned Secretary of State has been though it all - from dealing with her husband’s affair while he was president, to losing the long drawn-out battle with Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination. She took all the cracks about everything from her pants suits to her hairstyles - and even appeared on “Saturday Night Live” to make fun of herself.
“Real Housewives of New York City” cast counterpart: “outsider” Kelly Bensimon
True, the former VP candidate’s been out of the spotlight since her ticket lost to President Obama’s, but there’s been speculation that she’ll run for president in 2012. Palin will have a tough time finding moose burgers on the menu in D.C., and the Republican isn’t likely schmooze in the same circles as Democrats Obama and Clinton.
“Real Housewives of New York City” cast counterpart: “wannabe” Alex McCord
Kennedy put her name in the running to take over Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat over the winter, but then suddenly withdrew it, reportedly after finding out she wasn’t Gov. Paterson’ top choice. Critics felt she was ill-prepared all along, and that she was cashing in on her famous family’s political ties.

I love Jill, but I can’t agree with the counterpart of Michelle Obama comparison. I would have to say the Countess is a closer counterpart. Jill, I just don’t think you can be compared.
At first, I thought I wouldn’t care much for your personality, but as I watched you I realized you’re so real, genuine, and special… I’d love to have you as my personal friend.
