USHER FETED AT NICHE MEDIA’S VEGAS MAGAZINE’S MEN’S ISSUE PARTY AT THE PLAYBOY CLUB IN THE PALMS CASINO RESORT

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 8, 2009)—Grammy-winning superstar Usher celebrated his cover on Niche Media’s July/August Men’s issue of VEGAS Magazine with Founder and CEO Jason Binn, Group Publisher Alison Miller and Editor in Chief Kate Bennett at THE PLAYBOY CLUB in The Palms Casino Resort on August 7th. The July/ August issue is VEGAS Magazine’s debut Men’s Issue with Usher being the premiere male to ever grace the cover of the Niche Media publication.

Usher arrived at the VEGAS Magazine celebration looking as dapper and stylish as his cover spread, head to toe in John Varvatos, which he picked up at the designer store in The Forum Shops at Caesars. The night served as a homecoming for the cover star who spent months recording his highly anticipated sixth album, Monster, at the studio in THE PALMS CASINO RESORT. The Grammy winner, who looked happy to be back in Sin City, told the publication, “[Recording in Vegas] allowed me to open my mind and just be creative and think outside the box” and told the event ‘s crowd that Las Vegas has officially become his “new home away from home.”

To celebrate the Men’s issue, VEGAS Magazine created a true “guy’s night out” atmosphere transforming THE FANTASY TOWER into a near bachelor pad with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres fit for kings. Toasting the celebration with VEGAS Magazine guests were some of Las Vegas’ hottest bachelors including Jason Demuth, Josh Strickland, Ricardo Laguna, and Sonny Barton, who were all featured as “Vegas Aces” in the July/August magazine spread. Along with Usher, the “Vegas Aces” were dressed in John Varvatos and all were thrilled to receive King Baby jewelry including cufflinks, bracelets and necklaces, and official Playboy Smoking Jackets. In addition to their stylish look, these VEGAS Magazine men received gift cards to Joe’s Seafood & Stone Crab Restaurant, Rain Cosmetics, Amp Salon at The Palms Casino Resort, and John Varvatos Artisan eau du toilette spray and aftershave gel.

After mixing and mingling with guests, which also included The Real Housewives of New York’s Jill and Bobby Zarin, Playboy Playmate Laura Croft, Singer/Songwriter Matt Goss, magician Nathan Burton, and Pussycat Dolls Creator Robin Antin, Usher gave a shout out to the packed house proudly announcing what a “big deal” it is for him to be on the cover of VEGAS Magazine and made sure that everyone knew to “read this magazine!”

Before the evening ended Usher gladly accepted a key to the Playboy Club presented by Playboy Bunnies, which will give him lifelong VIP access to the Sin City hotspot. The guest of honor made sure to remind the lively crowd about the infamous Sin City saying “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” before departing after the event came to an end.
