Update…rumors ..rumors..more rumors..

I try to take the high road when people gossip. I guess it is the price of fame we all pay being on a TV show. Today a local gossip column ran yet another story mostly untrue. I will start by setting the record straight. I did see the opening of a new show on Broadway the other night. It is very sad that the PR company needs to use my name to get press. They should be able to get press on their own don’t you think? So they say I was 30 minutes late. Really? Do you want to know why? I was there on time. Ask all the photographers. I was asked by the PR company to take photos and do interviews. They didn’t tell me when it was starting as I was focused on the interviews. Finally someone did tell me and we ran inside. The curtain rose. We were asked to wait until after the first few songs ( along with other “late” people or people from the bathroom) to be seated. We were seated and ran into 2 other couples we know. I said hello…a few words…thats it. Yes..it is true someone near me was watching the Yankee game on a blackberry and yes the light was distracting. Am I now responsible for other people? So..that is the REAL story. If you want me to clarify press you read ( assuming I can ) write in comments and will try to do more!

Jill,
I have heard that life can be difficult when the spotlight is on you. You get my respect, as well as Bethenny, because both of you WORK. Not just model or socialize, but you are both smart-talented and vivacious women that own companies and have families as well. Great ratings means fights, nasty words and drama. Great life means forgiveness, love and empathy. I don’t know any more about you than what is presented on tv, but you seem like a truly caring person. I wish you nothing but happiness in every endeavor.

The high road? Is that a joke? You are the first one on the bandwagon whenever someone is talking trash! I cannot believe how much was revealed in just one episode. I cannot believe how I have misjudged you, always believing that you and Bethenny were the only two above all of the pettiness. I support Bethenny one hundred percent and you should as well.

Hi I watch the show every day. I even watch the re-runs. What is going on with that fake Bi!!!! Ramona. Ramona is clearly jealous of you, she never has anything nice to say and she swears she is the be all end all of women. I think she is the one with the least amount of looks and she had no class. She does not understand herself so therefore she can never understand anyone else. She always wants to be in the spotlight however nobody wants to see her. I think out of all the housewives you and Bethany are the real ones. Ramona makes me sick she is such an old hag. I dont respect her at all. Know Kelly is in her own little world and sometimes she acts like she does not have all her faculties upstairs. When Bethany tried to make things right she acted as if she did not disrespect Bethany. Bethany is just that kind of women who speaks her mind and I like that. Bethany also appears to be one of your truest friends. Overall the show is a blast but that Ramona is a real pill. I can’t swallow her and I give you kudos for even dealing with that witch. I love the show and I enjoy watching the show. Bobby is great and it appears on the show that he really loves you wish is nice to see. Most men are assholes. Anyway do you have an email address or a place where we can post comments about the show. Please email me the link thanks have a good season. Oh yes the countess is fake, my god she is such a phony. The countess thinks she is superior to all of you and she needs a reality check because she is not. I never hear her even talk about her husband. It appears that she just married the count to enter into society. However you can not become a countess just because you marry a count.

I am so sorry this had to happen to you. I work with start-up nonprofit organizations and one of the thoughest things I have to teach new CEOs is the incredible difficulty dealing with the press. They are fickle and tend to lean toward the unkind. Let’s face it, the general public is more interested, these days, in reading about bad things people do rather than good. It never matters whether it is true or not, hurtful or not, genuine or not, it is considered fit for print. You know you will rise above this, and the advantage to being in New York is that the press will move on to someone else, in, well, a New York minute.

Hi Jill, I just wanted to say that out of all the ‘housewives’ shows the Housewives of NYC is the absolute BEST! (My best friend Jude and I agree that you are our favorite of the bunch :). )

Both you and Bethanny are my fav’s. I must tell you that you were incorrect to take down the signage. The spirits company donated to your event. It is customary when a spirits company donates they are given signage usually at the focal point of the bar.I believ the juices were flowing when Bethanny’s picture appeared in the center of the display. What was needed is a “deep breath” and than Bethanny for recruiting the spirits companies.
No, you DO NOT sell signage, if you have an ad book, signage is sold at that point.

So I don’t usually visit fan websites and I’ve never commented on a blog before, but I feel the need to put my 2 cents in after all the rumors that have been going around about the Jill/Bethenny feud. I hope at this point the two of you have already worked things out, but if not I would advise you to do so ASAP. True friends are difficult to find, and by watching the show it is clear that you and Bethenny were true, genuine friends unlike most of the other housewives. Whatever your issues are, I hope you are able to work through them since life is too short to waste time fighting with a close friend. I’ve had falling outs with several close friends, and looking back I really regret not being able to work through our differences and continue being friends. Watching the Season 2 NYC Housewives finale (which was just rerun) where Bethenny puts aside her anger at the charity event in order to calm you down and help you to focus before your speech proves what a good friend she is and that she was able to put her pride aside in order to help you out when you were in need. I seriously doubt any of the other housewives would have done this for you if they had been in Bethenny’s position. Jill, with all that’s going on in Bethenny’s life right now, I hope you can be the bigger person and reach out to her and work things out between the two of you. Whatever has gone on between you two, it’s not worth losing a best friend over. Maybe Gloria could serve as a mediator for you! Good luck to both you and Bethenny.

Hi Jill,

We have just finished watching the second season in Australia (and the reunion show x 2).

I must say I never usually comment on this type of stuff, but my friends and I have loved watching both seasons, and like I’m sure most people would agree, you and Bethenny are by far the most sane, normal and coolest on the series.

Can’t wait for the next series if they’re making one!

Its off topic I just thought Id let you know I think your amazing! I will admit your one of my favourits but it’s because in my eyes your real. Yes your a “Housewife” but in my opinion it is like your past that stage and you just want people to know who you are. A Lovveing friend, amazing mother and all around good person.

Soo Jill what is the deal with u and Bethenny? I keep hearing rumors. What rumors I don’t know just a snippet here and there. You and Bethenny had a fun repore. It was like real friends laughing and crying and being real, unlike some of the RH’s out there. Some are to real and I hate them. True colors and all that. You and Bethenny, you with others, your true colors shine on the good side. I believe that’s why you’ve been one of the lucky ones with this show. Some of the RH’s Ive gotten to know I would never want to meet ever! You make me believe in Karma.

Is it true what Perez Hilton said about you - that you and Kelly told him “interesting” things about Bethenny? He sure made it sound like you were telling him dirt which doesnt’ seem like the high road.
