Jill's Blog

Bravo couldn’t give me enough space to thank all the people connected to our charity event last October 22, 2008. Thank you to Hudson Terrace for hosting the event and tenting the space for us for no charge. Elegant Affairs gave us a discount and had delicious food with amazing presentation. I feel badly Bravo didn’t show it all. Thank you to Couri Hay and his amazing staff for putting us together with Hudson Terrace and running the event before and during the evening. They invited all the press and got us great exposure. This evening was dedicated to Allyson and Jonathan and all those who suffer from Arthritis. With no further ado…

Jill, I wasn’t sure how to get a hold of you but I have some information that may be of some help. I know of a PROVEN PROVEN cure for arthritis! No joke! The founder of this cure was not even trying to cure arthritis, it just so happened that when he administered this cure for some other ailment, to his astonishment, it cured the arthritis in his patients as well. I would like to send you a FREE copy of the book. I am SO serious in trying to contact you about this that I will put my email and phone number on this post for you. I would really love to talk to you and get your feed back on this. Thank you for your time.

    Andy.

P.S. You can call me ANYTIME.

And if anyone reading this blog would like the book as well, I am more than happy to send it to you for free(Under the circumstances that you give me feed back when your cured). I bought it offline so it is a PDF file and I will only need your email address to send it to you.

  3. petites annonces Says:

Thanks very much for taking your time to create this very useful infos .

  4. Sharon S. Says:

Jill, I love you on the show. You come across as very real and down to earth. The only think I would suggest is that you NEVER EVER turn your back on Ramona. She is a pit viper and only out for herself. If she ever wants you to do something look to see what is in it for her.

  5. Robin Braun Says:

Jill- you rock- I love your family dynamic, and I enjoy and am so envious of your relationship with Bethanny. You 2 make me smile.

    Go TEAM JILL and BETHANNY

    and Ginger - love her

  6. Patty Says:

    Jill-
Thanks so much for that great party at Hudson Terrace…I was lucky enough to be in attendance and you gals know how to party right! Great lounge, great drinks, and I loved meeting the entire cast on a very special Cinco de Mayo for me!

Hey Jill, I am helping out with a Fund Raiser. “Through Tears Comes Laughter” to help raise funds to find a cure.My very good friend Scott has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. This has been devastating for us and I felt this is the least I could do. They are looking for talent (comedy, singers, speaker) and looking for sponsorship and gifts to raffle. Since you are so fabulous with charity events and the “How To’s” , I was wondering if you have any tips / guidelines on what can be done and how to get people interested! I worked with you years ago maybe you remember , but don’t let that stop you from helping me out! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much. http://www.phassociation.org

  8. Jackieclare Says:

Liz…if you look down in the $1 - $2499 donation area - you can see TrueFaith Jewelry there toward the bottom of the list. I am not sure what this means exactly as $5k was the amount apparently agreed upon by Jill and Ramona, in order to have their businesses listed on the step and repeat!!

First of all it was perplexing after all the yelling that Ramona did about how “tacky it was” that as the charity committee they would advertise their businesses anywhere!! But then she makes this agreement w/Jill to do just that!!

I would still like to know if Ramona knows where the “Social Registry” is - I am sure she ran right home and Googled it - after the charity meeting!!LOL!! Someone over at the Bravo boards mentioned that TrueFaith was indeed on the “step and repeat”. hhmmmm…

I also thought it was interesting how adamant Jill was that Ramona had NOT given her credit card to be charged for the $5k - Even after she was told by that other woman that Ramona gave her card Jill still wasn’t convinced…..what was that all about??…what does Jill know about Ramona and money that we do not?? and now according to the list above - it seems she did not donate the agreed upon amount to be listed on the “step and repeat”…but somehow she still was!!

  9. Louise Says:

Hi Jill, You’re great, as are the other housewives!

You didn’t credit Frangelico above. Is it an oversight? It would be nice, since the signs were removed, to credit Frangelico now, for what it’s worth.

It was too many signs, but maybe in retrospect, Frangelico should have been permitted to keep one up.

    Sincerely,
    Louise :)

  10. Joan Says:

The thing that is off with your perception about Bravo is that you are one of many housewives OC NY NJ ATL that we are fans of and love/hate. If you continue to complain that you didn’t have enough space on BRAVO blog, or that you didn’t get enough air on the show, you take away from the other wives. That’s not generous it’s more like self important singularly focused bullying in the name of CHARITY. Not cool in these tough times, we saw you buy a bag for 16K remember. Do that kind of soliciting here not on BRAVO. Many of our comments to you are not added to your Bravo blog. You have a place there and we enjoy you. Don’t pull this during next season’s filming. You’ll ruin a good thing. Bravo showing your hissy fit during the event said it all. Bravo is going to show you in poor light and it will be late when you see how you were used for foolish entertainment. Keep charity a small part of Bravo filming and blogging and we will love you more for it.

  11. Lori Walker Says:

Hi Jill - love you. Ally & Bobby. Your parents are charming and Brad is a hoot. I’m from Montana and am wondering if the new sculpture in your apartment is a Charles Ringer? He is from our area and his work is beautiful, very fluid. If you have a second and would please let me know I would really appreciate it. You can reach me at lburnswalker@yahoo.com - Also the event you did for Ally, Creaky Joints was unbelievable. I have MS and would love to see someone do an event of that magnitude for MS. I wish you and your family all the best. And please pass along my warm wishes to the other “girls’.
    Take care - Lori

  12. Mona Harper Says:

    Dear Jill,
I am one of your biggest fans! Just love your common sense, caring of family, animals, and friends.I would like to say after watching the charity event that
you worked so hard for. After reading the sponsor list, I was amazed that Hunter Douglas, a corporation that you so strongly support and that got so much free advertising due to you on Bravo and your web site, is not listed as a top donor. Having been in window coverings for over 20 years, including as a sales rep. for Hunter Douglas products, I would like to see your discounts. I have my own businsess not involved in window coverings now so this is heart felt. HD give Jill’s charity back what you know it deserves for all the free advertising you got.

  13. dr. lisa st. james-conrad Says:

Hi Jill. I want to applaud you, Bethenny and Luann..for the way that the three of you held yourselves above the others. You had grace and you three did not lie to get your points across. I am another woman who owns three companies and a very busy person. So when you ask a friend for help If they are a friend they should be there and not add fuel to the fire to have you worry about a charity that everyone was suppose to pull their weight. A firend does not trash another woman in the group when you are all there for one cause only. They should never loose track of the reason way everyone is there. FOR ALLY and the CREAKYJOINT organization. The organization was the focus not the people who put the event on. The event was and should have been bigger than anyone elses ego.

Jill I feel that the stress was probably high and everyone might have over reacted a little. I feel that the three women who I mentioned above and I would be great friends. We are passionate about others and only want to help others who can not or do not have the means to held themselves.

I feel the others on the show are not very truthful and well…let put Alex in a different catagory. I do feel that she is honest and very down to earth. she is not pretentious at all. And all she wants is to do a good job at work keep a loving and healthy family and be there for her friends when she can fit it into her lifestyle.

Anyway, The two that I feel are not very truthful with everyone and I mean us as the fan base of the show…Remember if it wasnt for us the public there wouldnt be an interest in your show your causes, your arguments ….Dont you agree?

Do you think that either one of the other two watch themselves on the show each week because if they did they would see that the fight between Bethenny and K. showed that K. either didnt remember what she was saying or she really is a nut. R. just plain makes me a nervous wreck to watch her talk to anyone. She has this dumb air like blank stare that well frankly just annoyes me. And I dont know any of you
But if K. did see herself surely she saw how stupid she looked when she kept trying us the public that Bethenny was making things u or over dramatizing the situation….Again what a nut.

The point of this letter is to say that your show is about the only show that I do watch because I am so busy and well this past season just irritated me at the end. And I wanted to say try to stay focused on the real reason of why you in front our tv set on Tuesday night You are trying to help bring some very important attention to some very important causes. The causes and those suffering are the big picture you are the intrument bring it to us and it is us the public who will in the end generate enough thought to generate enough money to help others fight the fight and hopefully find some remedies to end their suffering. Right?

I believe in the three of you and I believe your hearts are true and good. Best of luck to you next season and If you want please feel free to contact for a donation next season.

feel free to email back with the information I will need to send something for Ally and her cause. Have a Blessed day.

    Thank you

    Dr. Lisa St. James-Conrad

  14. Liz Says:

Wait,so Ramona never gave the 5k that she promised? She swore that she gave her cc! Unless I’m misreading the list…

  15. kelly Says:

Why isn’t Ramona Singer listed as one of the Sponsors? Didn’t she and you contribute $5K each? Is it because you don’t like her (which is totally your prerogative) or is it because she actually didn’t contribute?

  16. jill z Says:

We were not allowed to say who was there until the show actually aired last week. My blog only went up on bravo a few days ago and they too out the list as being too long. Now I put it here. Thank you so much again to all those who gave to creakyjoints.org and People Reaching Out.

  17. UWSERIC Says:

    Hey Jill,

Put me on your donor list, I would be happy to donate to your cause.

  18. Lisa Evans Boudreaux Says:

I’ve never “blogged” before, so forgive me if I end up where I shouldn’t be, but…I’m re-watching an episode of The Real Housewives of New York with Jill being interviewed by the BBC. I am a high school teacher in Houma, LA, and two years ago started sending books to establish a library in a village in Kenya (Nkubu, Meru, Kenya). I was hoping that Jill could give me some ideas on raising funds to further this operation. Currently, I’m making and selling about two hundred cupcakes a week to ship books at the expense of $4.00 a pound! We have managed to send over a thousand books (mostly donated) to this village, of which I am extremely proud, but it seems such a minute effort in the grand scheme of things. I would like to expand our efforts to employ some of the orphans (due to AIDS/HIV) to make sure they stay in school, but my efforts seem to be slow going. Considering Jill is so active in charity work, could she give me any advice on furthering my mission? I would appreciate any input; I do admire Jill and many of the others that have opened their lives up to those of us in the peanut gallery! Thank you. Lisa Boudreaux

  19. Zetta Jones Says:

I want you to know how much I feel for you and Ally. My daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 9 1/2. She’s now 20. It has been a hard road for us. Some days you couldn’t even tell, but then some, well pretty bad. Most people don’t understand or believe it as “It’s an old persons disease”. My daughter has experienced some depression on and off with this. And I alot of sadness. I can’t let her know, but even while I write this I cry. It’s just not fair that our children should have to be in so much pain. I hope that with you and Ally putting it out there other children will not have to go through the things we have. I wish she and I had had the resources you have brought to light, many years ago. Someone she could relate with and just talk to, other than Mom. And for me other Mom’s to share with. My daughter like you, Ally, has the biggest heart, very compasionate, and the biggest, most catchy smile. Keep up the good work. Love to you both! Zetta
