- HOW DO YOU THINK BEING A “HOUSEWIFE OF NYC” IS DIFFERENT FROM ORANGE COUNTY? NYC is some dynamic and full of culture. There are so many different opportunities to connect to different kinds of people. I grew up in the suburbs and enjoy living in NYC more. There is no place like New York City.
- HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH THE “REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NYC”? The producers went to nysocialdiary.com and found me on the society pages at social and charity events. They called me out of the blue in Sept 2007 and we talked for 9 months before I signed on. I then introduced them to Countess Luanne and Bethenny.
- WHAT ARE THE DO’S AND DONT’S OF BEING A HOUSEWIFE OF NYC? The most important is being able to be home and take care of my family first. Being a mom in NYC is a balancing act. We get enough invitations to be out every night of the week. We limit the amount we go to in order to be home with Ally to help with homework and spend dinner hour together as often as possible. We are very aware that Ally will learn how to be a mom and wife by following our example as I did with my mom. My parents ALWAYS put my sister and me FIRST and FOREMOST. We have had to cancel things at the last minute if any of the kids need us. That’s what good parenting means. Don’t ever put your friends and social things before your family.
