Season 5 Episode 1 I want to HEAR FROM YOU!!!

a3f81330fc1c42b5404f9f2fcf4a06ca_view

Tonight was quite surreal for us. Bobby and I were in the hamptons and this morning made the decision to drive back to the city and stop by 3…yes 3! housewife parties in NYC tonight. First stop was Luann…she looked beautiful as usual. I got to meet Carole for the first time, Heather for the second and some old friends. Even Brad..yes Brad Boles was there..with Jersey ( Luann’s fab stylist from the music video). I felt like I graduated high school and am in college now ..going back to the high school to visit my old friends and some transfer students. Does that make any sense. I stayed for a “Diet Coke” and then left for party #2. I was invited to Adrianne Malouf’s launch party of her new skin care line with Dr. Paul. Can I say Paul looks much cuter in person? he is cute on TV but even yummier in person. ( no pun intended Heather!). Our last stop was at a bowling..yes bowling Alley next to the Port Authority. Not the best neighborhood in the city that is for sure but you would never know it once inside the door. There were about 150? friends and family. The overwhelming love Bobby and I received tonight was surprising and overwhelming. People were hugging and kissing us all night and wishing us well. We felt love from all of you like none other. How lucky are we. Everyone asked how Allyson is. Ally is working at AOL this summer and goes to Vanderbilt University now. She is in a really good place and is very grounded. Television is not her thing and she doesn’t “social media” like most kids do today. I am so proud of her but still go with the motto ” you can’t take all the credit and you can’t take all the blame” . Back to the party….Aviva could not be more gracious and hope she knew we came to support her and let her know that. I have to admit…it would have been fun to film with her and get to know her. Bravo does have good taste in housewives! ( most of them at least..I leave it to you to decide who you think I’m not that fond of”. The good thing about not being on this season? Everything I told you all in the past is all happening and coming true. I am not the instigator some fans accused me of and I did try to tell you about some of the girls but no one believed me!
It will be interesting to see what all of you think of the show ( IF you watched it) and whether you will watch it after tonight. After reading the tweets tonight…alot of you didn’t like what you saw and won’t be tuning in. I am curious..what did you think of tonight and will you be tuning in this season? I don’t think I can watch girls be mean to each other anymore. Its too dark. I like the family reality shows these days…! Tell me what you think! Share your thoughts here…its safe and unedited!

I watched tonights episode and it was pretty good. I’ll keep watching to see how this season unravels. The only new housewife i dont like is Heather. She came off kind of annoying but its early. The only thing that bothers me is that you and the other original housewives weren’t apart of it. When they cut you out it felt like they left something unfinished.

I only watched 20 minutes but I like the new woman with the prosthetic leg, I don’t think she’ll be too catty

Jill..wow, the show is not the same without you and Kelly and /Countess. Bravo lost class acts. I do like the new housewives but I am infuriated with crazy Ramona. I hope you are not friends with her anymore. She is mean, rude and I really think she has issues. I think they need to kick her off next season. I can’t stand her. She thinks she is a superstar and she is a nobody. Jill, i’m the one on twitter that thinks you should write a book. All of your fans would love to know the REAL story behind the housewives, their fights and the show. I know we don’t always get the truth. You would have to tell the truth about Ramona and the girls but I think you can handle it. We trust you. Please write a book @ I am not sure if I will continue watching the show. I just can’t stand Ramona and I hate what she is doing to Luann. I don’t like anyone being hurt. Miss you Jill

I miss u I miss u I miss u!! U have such a big heart & I am not sure if I will be tuning in as dedicated as I was last season. The blondes have turned to being just being down right mean to everyone. Even to the new girls. I wish u all the best wishes & I know u will do great things. U have so much love to give & r sooo fun. Glad your family is well & I send my love….

When I think of all the reality shows that have only lasted one season, they were light on bickering and drama. People are inexplicably drawn to fighting even if they say they’re sick of it. coliseum mentality.

  6. Brittney said:

    Miss Jill,

I love you, and have been a fan of yours from the start! The other ladies are fine, but throughout the whole episode I kept waiting for you to walk in and say, “HIIII” in your adorable accent! I am a housewife fine, so I will obviously continue to watch, just know that I will be missing you throughout the whole season. I hope all is well with your life. You are a beautiful woman; don’t ever forget that! Your fans won’t be going anywhere.

    xoxo

WHAT an interesting first episode! I must say that I absolutely miss you on the show! I feel Ike you kept things real and didn’t sugarcoat a single thing, which is how a real NY woman should be.

I’ve only been watching the series since the beginning of season 4 and was a bit impartial to Ramona…but OH MY GOSH, I hate her now! She’s a hypocrite, annoying, and has a serious problem with drinking! (she also needs a muscle relaxer for her eyelids so she doesn’t look surprised or crazy every time she opens and closes her eyelids).

I know there’s going to be a fight here and there between friends and enemies, but I sincerely hope she goes down and is NOT back for another season after this one.

Wish you all the best in what you do! Hope to see you again next season!

I just have to say that Jill I wish you were back on the cast. The show isn’t the same without you. You where most definately my fav. But, other than that it was ok.

  9. Malka said:

I am only watching for Luann, the new housewives seem nice. I like Aviva, glad to have another Jew on there, You were my fav jew though Jill!

  10. Kristen said:

Tonight’s premier was strange for me. I honestly kept waiting for you to waltz through the door and really make the show (as you always did!). I missed seeing you, Alex, and Bethenny. The new housewives seem a little on the catty side already, but it is too early to tell. I did like Aviva. Heather’s line looks phenomenal…but as for her personality, I’m not too sure. I hope you and the family are doing well! Is Ginger staying off the bed?? hahaa

  11. kitkat said:

OMG Ramona is still a Witch and jealous of the younger prettier women. I can’t wait for someone to slap the pinot right out of her. Bravo should have fired her instead of you. I don’t know if i’ll watch again it looks like its going to be all childish fighting. Miss you jill

  12. Jennifer said:

I miss you jill! Bravo picks someone to make the villain every season and unfortunately it was you for the past 2. Hopefully it is now ramona’s turn, because her behavior is just ridiculous. it is obvious you are a good person to the core, and took way too much heat while ramona deserved to be the one people disliked. the fight with bethany was not even that bad, but people just blew it up because of her growing popularity and made you the bad guy. it is probably good you got away from this show though, everything happens for a reason! by the way please get your daughter tested for lyme disease! my mother thought she had arthritis for 20 years, but later found out it was lyme disease, makes me think of your daughter since it is so common in NY… especially on LI. anyway, peace & love.

  13. Jean said:

Jill-I found the show boring. 90 minutes of my life I will not get back. I will not be watching again. I really missed seeing you. Bravo really screwed up when they fired you. Luann is beyond stuck up. Ramona needs to go to AA.

  14. Vivian said:

yeah, I did not want to watch it because Jill was not on, but it was all that was on BRAVO. I would have loved to see Jill, The Countess, and Aviva together because I think they would have made some interesting story lines… other than Ramona bad mouthing kids…. Ramona is just so annoying. The show could do without her. What was Bravo thinking seriously?!?! They always said how Jill favors the underdog, and what do they do?? get rid of her and bring on three underdogs?!?! Imagine what would have happened, it would have been a lot more interisting thats for sure than just Ramona being annoying all the time, trying to make everything about her. who cares?! The show is NOTHING
without Jill. We should make a petition to get Jill back on the show. Biggest mistake since Desperate Housewives ended :(

  15. Juli said:

as much as I missed seeing you and Bobby-I have to admit I did like the show

  16. Stacey said:

    Jill-
I have been so sad you are not on the show this season but after watching thought it was good for you not to be involved in the drama. Due to the fact that I am addicted to the housewives, I will watch. However, not happy you are gone. I am a southerner and Vandy is a great university. So glad Ally is experiencing the south and football season! Miss you and please keep posting as I love to read your posts! PS, The part on the show Luann had regarding Ramona’s blackmailing, made me sick! I cannot understand Sonja’s fascination.

  17. janet said:

I wasn’t thrilled about the new season. I like Luanne but few unsure about the new cast and don’t like, most of the remaining old cast. Might watch occasionally but not likely to be a show I care about. Unless Jill comes back I think I’m done.

  18. Lucy faggiano said:

Its just not the same without you and your family. Hope your mom is doing well. Shame on bravo! And jill when watching old reunion shows, i felt at times andy was not fair to you and luann. He would only read negative things but with betheny only good ones. I personally was not a betheny fan so i felt he played favorites. You not being on the show is like your favorite aunt not coming to visit for the summer. Us fans really miss you and iam very disappointed in bravo. Best of luck and i hope another tv project comes your way. And love love your book. Hope you come to long island soon.

    Hi Jill,
So I tuned into the show tonight with low expectations for it. However I found that I did enjoy it but god I miss you!! I guess what I can say I miss the most are the more light hearted episodes from seasons 1 and 2. They were pure entertainment and just so funny. Overall I will tune in this season just out of pure curiousity but it definitely isn’t the same. I hope all is well with you and wish you the best of luck. I will definitely be missing you every Monday night- that’s for sure :)

I missed you. I gave it a shot tonight and I have to say…I’m out! I felt like I was watching a movie sequel that they should have left on the cutting room floor. Some things can never be recaptured.
I’m not giving up an hour a week of my life this season.
I wish you all the best!!!

  21. Lesli Eisenhart said:

Season’s 1-2-3 are still my fav. They are keeping it real. Each of the new HW ‘s has overcome personal tragedy and that shows their strength. It will be inetersting to see things play out. I think this year is a totally different level, just proving that NYC is such an ecclectic mix of culture and social persona.

  22. shanna said:

jill, your my favorite housewive out of all the housewive shows.. this show isn’t the same, the new girls actually make me miss alex and i couldnt even stand the sight of her. bad move on bravo’s part for firing you. it’s very clear who the instigators & mean girls are, clearly its not & never was you. ill only watch the show if theres nothing else to do, plus its a good hour to make fun of how ridiculous certain ones act.

  23. Jenny said:

It was a little slow, but I guess this was expected for the first episode. The previews look like it will be an exciting season. I can understand you do not want to watch, why dredge up the past. When one door closes another opens, it will be interesting to see what your next endeavor will be.

  24. Lucy faggiano said:

The show is not the same without you. Shame on bravo. You and your family are truly missed. Hope your mom is doing well. I was never a betheny fan and feel people are fooled by her. And when watching old reunion shows noticed Andy played favorites. He would only read negative comments about you and luann and didnt call betheny out on her bad behavior. Wishing you another tv opportunity and best of luck!

  25. Joana H said:

I am watching episode now….where in the world sis Bravo find these woman? On a ranch? I don’t want to be mean, but I miss the original beautiful woman….including u Jill. This whole episode seems scripted…horrible and very awkward.

  26. Joey said:

Oh Jill! It was weird not seeing you on the housewives tonight for the very first time, but I have to say, I was satisfied with the final result. I got used to the new ladies fairly easy and really enjoyed them, and I think they will hold their own pretty well. Although, some things don’t change, and I am pretty sure everyone knows what I am talking about… Regardless, I love you Jill, and will miss your presence. Stay cool and good luck with everything I know you will do in the future!

  27. Lisa said:

I loved it! It’s still got enough drama with Luann and Ramona to keep me watching. Gonna be a good season.

  28. Sara said:

I miss you Jill oh so much! I will still watch because I am devoted to watching to all the housewives franchise. However, Ramona is crazy and I have always liked you but I know you have bigger and better things to move on to! XOXO~!

  29. Mae_katy said:

I’m so surprised that they booted you guys. I mean there was no shortage in drama and isn’t that what producers want? But I loved all you ladies from day one, best real housewives. That said in a real housewives whore so I’m sure I’ll watch but this dynamic of 1/2 old cast members and 1/2 new cast members is going to take getting used too. I totally get your comment about high school and college and I wish you the best in the new parts of your life. Enjoy it :) you deserve it girl! Yeah and heather…. Not sure about that one..

  30. bravofan said:

Well let’s see – the new girls seem nice enough (but it’s still early). So far I like Heather a lot because she seemed the most real, very smart, and very ‘together’. I personally like people who are knowledgeable and like to share their knowledge with others so she didn’t annoy me as a ‘know it all’. I haven’t really formed an opinion yet about Carole because I didn’t see that much of her.

As for Ramona – oy where do I begin? Lol She is out of control and I am shocked by the phone call she made to Luann. I cannot believe the lengths she will go to just to defend herself. She always thinks that people are attacking her when all they want is an APOLOGY or for her to own up to bad behavior like mature adults do! She gets so uncomfortable and defensive the minute someone tries to call her out and she can’t handle it. Even as a viewer it’s frustrating to watch but ultimately I feel sorry for her because I think it all comes from insecurity and weakness…..(don’t forget the kind of childhood she had)

I do miss your presence on the show! Nobody can replace you or Kelly and I am so disappointed that you are not a part of this season. It just didn’t have that same feeling or dynamic it had in the past seasons when all the brunettes got together (aka – You, Luann, Kelly, and then later Cindy) TEAM BRUNETTES ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!

I will probably continue to watch even though I am not as excited about it. I hope my response wasn’t too lengthy but I have a lot to say! :)

  31. Shawn said:

Glad Alex and Simon are off the show but really miss seeing you and Kelly .

  32. Ann Houston said:

I was pleasantly surprised by the new housewives – think I will like them. Unfortunately, Ramona’s antics are getting old. I do think new story lines will benefit RHONY but will miss you! I think women should be building each other up and encouraging each other- don’t think it will happen this season. It’s very important for all of us in life to surround ourselves with positive people and a healthy atmosphere which I don’t think we’ll find this season on RHONY.

  33. Alma Acosta said:

I watched the show tonight and I felt like LuAnn is trying to stir up trouble this season. In my opinion, ever since Betheny left the show it hasn’t been the same. The NY housewifes had been my favorites and will continue watching this show. With the good, bad and ugly. God bless :)

  34. anne said:

I think the world will get to see the psyco troublemaker Ramona for who is is. Wow, I have never seen LuAnn so upset EVER. That was wild.

  35. Loriann said:

I did wind up watching it and I did not like it at all! I don’t understand why they fired all you guys for saying that you were all in a dark place and fighting because that is all Ramona does and also LuAnn. That is what the show is DRAMA! All they did tonight was the same thing so what is BRAVO doing by getting rid of the main cast to just put new people who are doing the same exact thing! I personally missed Jill and I did like Bethany when she was on the show. I prefer the original cast because to me the woman were just special characters. I did not like the new lady Heather too much nor Carole they just seem to not fit in and just seem like every day people and I don’t think they make good housewives. I enjoyed it more when Jill and Ramona would get into their tiffs and it was so funny and the show I feel is not as good as it used to be and BRAVO made a big mistake by asking Jill to leave. I wish they would have Jill back on. The only one I liked a little bit was Aviva as the new cast member.

  36. Kirsten Benjamin said:

Hi Jill! First off, let me say that my husband and I already miss you this season (although we are watching), and there defintely seems to be a void left by you. So far, loving Aviva the best of the new girls, although poor Heather hasn’t been given a fair shake–Ramona wasted no time in tearing into her,as she does with anyone who she feels threatened by or jealous of.

Speaking of Ramona, we can’t believe it wasn’t HER who wasn’t asked back after the way she behaved last season and on the reunion show. You have always been the staple on the show that holds it all together, with your humor and advice, so it defintely feels weird without you!

Jury is still out on the “princess”, they didn’t show much of her. We are looking forward to seeing how you take this new season…and don’t be so nice! Ramona was horrible to you last season! (my husband just said: “tell Jill I hate Ramona!”, lol). So can’t believe she threatened LuAnn’s kids….what a bully!

Anyway, we are watching, but we miss you, Jill! Good luck with all the fun things you have coming up!

    Much love! XOXO!

    Kirsten

  37. Loriann said:

Jill you were an original and so funny when you would put Ramona in her place. But you guys were funny cuz you had a love hate relationship and even though you fought deep down you cared for one another and it was so funny to watch you two. It would be nice it they asked you back on Jill. I don’t know if you would go back but you were one of the main people that made the show what it was. Now it just is not the same.

  38. Sheila said:

I absolutely hate that u were not on the show! It was not the same, as there is only one jill. I think you were really misread and misunderstood in the past. The show’s dynamic. I hope to see u back at some point. You were my favorite and I felt like you truly cared about your friends. I don’t know how the show will even work at this point. You were the more stable one of the group and I will miss u on the show!

I only found out today that you were not coming back. I am shocked!! The show will not be near as interesting with out you. I can see Alex and creepy Simon, and the new girl off the show but, New York housewives without you, just doesn’t seem appealing. I hope the ratings drop to the ground! I will remove HWoNY from my DVR. If they had to cut someone, I would have without hesitation cut crazy eyes Romona. She’s wackadoodle doo! One day I’ll make it into Zarin Fabrics ,love, love love all the great fabrics! And I don’t care how good she thinks her skin looks, I’m with you…if she is in her 50′s, missing a period is much more likely the result for menopause than a baby!!! .
What an idiot. Wouldn’t be surprised if Mario was having a little on the side.

  49. Keith Andes said:

When I first heard about the let goes with the four NY housewives I was really upset. Season after season we got to learn more about personalities, businesses, and families. As soon as I heard about the let goes, my mind first went to Ramona. I never found her to be interesting at all as a person, business woman or why she had climbed the social circle so far in NYC. I love the new additions to the show and I believe they were trying to have everyone start fresh and try to get along more so than last season. From the looks of it, it seems like it is the Ramona show (which is not a great thing at all). I would have liked to seen your story followed more, hearing about your charities, businesses, family, and friendships. Too bad that they let go of the wrong people and that again we have to be annoyed by Ramona’s childish and cry for me behavior. It is pathetic. Congrats on all of the success Jill and I will keep up with you! Even though you seemed to be involved with fights in the past, you have done it the way I believe the show, and life (reality) is. Not the over dramatic way of handling it and acting like a diva like others and taking away from the show. With all this power and influence on national television I would have expected more from grown adult (Classy??) women. Again, thanks Jill, big fan!

Best of luck, you won’t need it!

    Hi Jill,
My opinion is that I think it was good the got rid of Kelly. I just didn’t care for her & her odd ways. Alex seemed liked the calmer side for everyone, like the balancer, so I really can’t understand why she had to go. You, I really don’t understand why they decided to let go. Even if some things I didn’t agree with you on, I thought you added class & entertainment to the show. Made me want to watch the show the next week to find out what you were up to. And mostly I loved your family and the closeness you shared with them. I haven’t watched the show yet for fear I might hate it! LOL
All the best to you & your family!

  51. KatieRose1103 said:

I haven’t seen it yet, but am heartbroken that you are not in this season, but I understand why you had to walk away. You were and always will be my favorite. I can’t stand Ramona or Sonia. I love Luann and like Kelly. As far as the “new girls”, who knows, now that I know you wont be in it, I might not even watch, but I’ll keep you posted.

  52. anna said:

RHONY will never be the same without you Jill… in my opinion you were the star of the show! I am so angry at Bravo but I’m ecstatic Alex & Simon are gone! I love the Countess(the only other down to earth cast member) but this Jill Zarin fan will not be tuning in this season.Bravo–you made a HUGE mistake letting JZ go! Best wishes to you and your family!

  53. Aimee said:

Are you kidding! I didn’t even watch the whole episode, all I have to say is you will be greatly missed. Ramona must be popping some pills with her Pinot, she has no class and is totally out of control as usual, makes me sick. When this show first started, it was about you girls, your great lifestyle and all your class, boy have things changed. Jill, I personally miss you and think they will have to bring you back. You were straight forward and honest, that is what we want to see.
    Take care.

  54. Lisa said:

Well, the show is definitely not the same without you. The new housewife that i won’t be able to stand if I were going to watch this season would be Heather & Ramona. They would drive me insane. But I have lost interest in the show since my favorites are gone. Hope to see you soon.

  55. Lola said:

Very simple….you will be missed on the show. You are real and that’s what the show lacks now. Heather, really? What is that? Too bad they let you go….time will tell, eh?

See you on the LIE out to the Hamptons…lol!!

  56. Monye said:

I loved the interaction of the original housewives. I don’t like any of the new blood. I like crazy Ramo mo and well Sonya is Sonya. I find the new housewives annoying. As cra cra as you all were it worked. I felt connected. Do you know any sane family. Friends have there ups and downs and that’s what made the show addicting. It’s all about the drama. Let’s face it if everybody played nice all the time it would be boring. I personally love dysfunction and there was plenty of that on the show. I think you should all suck it up and come back. I’m already losing interest in the show. I vote for reunion show. Kiss make up and then let the fighting begin. Jill email me, let’s do lunch. Luv, Monye

  57. Melissa said:

I am a self proclaimed “super fan” of the RHONY. There was a definite void in the show last night and that fun element is missing. Those that remained appeared really tense. The entire thing seems set up to instigate fights. Here we have some of the most successful women in NYC and when they show the previews all you see are mean, hurtful and rude people behaving like preschoolers. Why anyone would put up with Ramona is beyond my comprehension. I have to remind myself that the show is strategically creating a cast of characters. We have invested time following a storyline with a set group of people that we let into our homes and now the plug was pulled. The Housewives “fight factor” keeps upping the ante and now looks very Jerry Springer. Fights equal ratings which generates more money however, I would much rather see something authentic and not designed to be a pressure cooker and be so hurtful. Suffice to say the show seems darker and the remaining cast look tense.

  58. Yolanda C. said:

I miss the original cast! I really do! I felt sad watching the show last night. I know that you girls were fighting a lot in the previous season and I didn’t like to watch that much. For some crazy reason I get “attached” to my Housewives and want to know how they’re doing. I know you’re not that crazy about Alex, but I miss her too. I’m hoping this season will get better. Maybe I’ll like the new girls eventually.

  59. Sherry said:

OMG Ramona is out of control, how Bravo thought keeping her would improve the show is beyond me. She is rude, obnoxious,self-absorbed and quite frankly low class. I had told myself that I wouldn’t watch this year because of Bravo’s decision to let you, Kelly, and Alex go but curiosity got the best of me. I will no longer continue to watch. Ramona is hitting way below the belt when she attacks Luanne’s kids. Karma is bad thing Ramona and you too are raising a teenager. Oh wait, thats right her daughter is perfect…….whatever!

  60. Pat said:

I have to say after last night’s show I thought your alliance with LuAnn was your downfall. It all began when she stopped your meeting with Bethany. They should have kept you and released her. Don’t miss Kelly one bit. I was learning to like Alex. This year so far only Aviva seems interesting to me.

  61. pam said:

We missed seeing you soooo much last night, you were our favorite Jill!! WHY did they keep Ramona….so we could watch her alcoholic rants???? I’m not sure if I will continue to watch….wasn’t feeling it last night. There is an old saying….”if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”…..please come back!!!!!!! We want you there when Ramona goes to rehab!!!!! lol Best of luck to you Jill, you were our favorite to watch :)

  62. jessica said:

Jill, as I’ve had the pleasure to get to have conversation with you I can say with all my heart you ARE the classy elegant woman RHONY should have kept showing. To keep some of the other ladies who in my opinion have no class makes me sick! To judge the new ladies isn’t fair because they were thrown into this mix. I can honestly say BRAVO made a HUGE MISTAKE letting go of the best housewife of all…YOU! I will not be watching & wish the new ladies lots of luck, booze, and tylenol because they will need it after dealing with 2 of the 3 older cast members. YOUR ONLY GOING UP JILL with your class intact! P.S. Andy says book wayyyy to much!! Didn’t he scold you for that? Hummmm? ;) love u as a person, tv star, and glad to say you are a friend! Xo Jess

I (surprisingly) really enjoyed the first episode of this new season. I like all the new ladies so far and look forward to the rest of the season. I think Carol may be my new favorite!

  64. RuthsMatter said:

Jill, I don’t like you not being on. Alex was a snake to you, don’t pretend otherwise as you’d invite trouble. Alex used you when needed, such as your fabrics and designs for her living room. You were one of the only ones in the beginning who didn’t act snobby towards Alex yet she became very superior to you in the end, her rants etc. So you better rethink this entire idea about Alex and look hard. Calling LuAnn that white trash name, Simon, was the lowest. Anyway, Bravo is not doing well and it’s getting boring to have adult middle aged women beating up on another.

  65. Vickie said:

Wow! Last night’s episode was chock full of drama and Debbie-downer moments! Liver transplants and family deaths are not great topics of conversation during Happy Hour (Heather!). Luann is smug as ever. Sonya is a ray of sunshine, unless Ramona opens her mouth. And….Ramona, Ramona, Ramona, take it down a notch or two. You are trying WAY too hard, and coming across as a mouthy, egotistical B! I will miss Alex and her childlike sweetness. I will miss you too, Jill, however, I thought you were the ultimate mean girl on last season’s reunion. It’s probably a good thing you are not on the show anymore; it really brought out the worst in you! Luv ya anyways!!!!

  66. Holli Hagen said:

I miss you Jill!! You made the show!! It will takew some getting use to with the new wives. Not sure I like any of them yet. Ramona is still as overdramatic as ever!!

    Dear Jill,

I miss you so very much on RHONY, for your on screen presence was captivating and endearing. I was enamored by you from the very first moment you appeared on screen on season one of Rhony! I felt a bit disconcerted not seeing you interacting with the cast as you did for four seasons. You were the glue that held the show together, and you were the ultimate queen Bee, the connector, the loving yenta whom I loved so much. I think Bravo has made an utter mistake by not renewing your contract, for your absence will hamper the longevity of the series.
    Love,
    Vinny- your biggest fan ever!!

  68. JD said:

I enjoyed the show. It was much better without Jill in it. It felt way classier and looked much prettier of course. It just didn’t feel like trash TV anymore. It has lost that Jerry Springer quality it’s had with the previous cast. Ramona is still crazy and it looks like she won’t get along with many people except Sonja.

I liked it! I think this is the season Romeana will meet her match! She is clearly jealous of Heather, a truly accomplished business woman who doesn’t seem to have a hard time slamming R behind her back! I LOVED the comment about the Learning Annex! Very funny. Although I miss the bond you and Kelly and LuAnn had, I think LuAnn will have some other ladies to back her from Romeana and Sonya. I know one thing, I definitely don’t miss Silex!!!

  70. Mel said:

What do you do Jill? Only post the comments that are positive about you? Why isint my post showing up? You are so fake! Best move Bravo could have made!

  71. Rhonda said:

I would enjoy watching you on a show centered around your family, business, and activities — sort of the I Love Lucy of Reality TV you originally envisioned. Kim Zolciak has proven that you don’t need fighting to make good TV. Her show is like cotton candy, but fun to watch. However, I enjoy the NYC backdrop. But maybe Reality TV isn’t good for a family and you and Bobby have such a great relationship…

  72. Lakena said:

I watched and loved it!!! Without you & Kelly it can only succeed. I have to say though the one I miss the most is Bethanny.

  73. Mella said:

Hello Jill, sorry not to have seen you last night. When did Mario become stupid and petty? He never seemed like that before. You know that if Heather cuts people off before they are finished then don’t talk to her.I think Ramona has too much on her plate and it is making her lose what nuts she has left. And who has the audacity to ask someone about their most sensitive issue,”Do you have fake toes”? No idiot I have real ones on the bottom of my fake leg…Good Lord.Is there anything legal the Countess can do to shut Ramona about attacking her kids?Other than Bravo stepping in….Miss your sweet little face….Toodles

    Jill,

So nice to watch the housewives without you. You are a conceited, self centered bitch and I may be one of the few but do not miss you in the least. Maybe you can find something meaningful to do with your life. TV is better off without you on it. Go back to the Fabric store…….

  76. kim said:

I watched the show and thought Romona was worse than ever! Just watching her being so fake and phony really made me sick! I probably won’t be watching even though I’ve been a fan since the beginning! Jill, you made the show and now that you’re not on there it seems like Romonas rampage and selfishness will become the focus and that’s not something I care to watch (too much negativity)….. God bless you Jill, I’ll keep following your blog and twitter! Live and hugs <3 Kim

  77. K said:

WE HATED IT WITHOUT YOU JILL! I thought it was extremely boring and Ramona looks awful! I always knew she was insane but now she’s really looking the part. She has gone down hill for sure and she definitely looks her age (maybe even a little older)! On the other hand, you look amazing! We love you and Bobby and Ally and the show is not the same without you. I want a Zarin spin off! If Bethany’s super obnoxious self could have her own show then you, for sure, deserve one. After last night, my friends and I are all boycotting RHONY. We love you so much and we’ll miss watching your fascinating and funny life!

The new housewives don’t compare with the housewives that have left. The season premiere wasn’t horrible, but it paled in comparison with the previous season premieres. I think the new housewives didn’t open their lives enough and it was really up to Ramona and Sonja and The Countess to carry the show. This would not have been a problem if Jill, Kelly, Cindy, and even Alex were still there, who give the viewers a window into their fabulous lives. I don’t like how the new housewives don’t show respect for the housewives already there. It would be great if the previous housewives come back to the show and defend their territory! To Jill, good luck with all your endeavors.

    Jill,

I have to say that when the show first started I loved you and I still love you, but I believe with all my heart that LuAnn and Kelly didn’t want you to be friends with Bethanny and you let them lead you. That disppointed me in you, your a smart woman why did you not see that Kelly has and I believe still has mental problems it is ok to try to help people but sometimes when they are changing you that’s the people who you need to cut out like cancer.
On the reuion with Bethanny you said you had changed and that you loved her and wanted your friendship back then last year you said Bethanny had always scared you. For once let’s hear the truth did LuAnn and Kelly have anything to do with you not forgiving Bethanny, because I think you really hurt her and I don’t think that is you. Sorry they cut you but I bet LuAnn had something to do with that too.

  81. Rose said:

OMG. Half of the girls on your blog are kissing your ass Jill. I know you are friends with Aviva and Heather and now maybe even Carole, but seriously? THE SHOW SUCKED! Now, let me tell you I am a 52 year old disabled woman and recently widowed. I don’t watch the show for the drama of ILLNESS. Even when Bobby had his bout with cancer, it was a behind-the-scene drama that only came out once your argument with Bethany was mentioned. Having had cancer last year myself, it was definitely something hard to take when I heard that of Bobby, but I like how it wasn’t “honed” in on. This show last night? Who had a liver transplant? Ramona thinking her baby was born dead with cords around it’s neck? Who is bringing her plastic legs to a pedicure? (I mean, I feel bad for that poor woman, but COMMON!), and how fake sweeteners cause cancer, and then the woman whose father died only a few days before the cocktail party, and then there is Carole (connected to the Kennedy’s, which I found a complete JOKE to even bring up!), has a book on being a widow due to another cancer bring up? Seriously? The only “normal” part of the show WAS LuAnn and Ramona’s fighting! That aside from it being one gigantic infomercial for tummy control, books, skin care, CD’s, and what all, the show was HORRENDOUS. I have taken it off of my TIVO record-series list, and am sorry I ever hooked it up to record now over two weeks ago. I own the last four seasons, when YOU were there, and Alex who was fun to see trying to be crass, and Simon and his fashion “non”sense, and even Kelly and her world where the sky is not blue. THIS I will watch, and have been since I bought them all. I would rather watch the last four seasons over again then this new season. It seems the LuAnn fight with Ramona is old hat, and Ramona threatening LuAnn also sounds like contrived drama. This is no longer a reality show. It’s a commercial with contrived drama thrown in. And I’m not kissing your ass when I say that YOU were the “center” of RHWONYC. You no longer being there makes the show nonsensical, and to me it is! I’ve never written to you before, or on ANY blog, but I simply had to get this off my chest. BRAVO is STUPID for not having you on the show, and I just LOVE Bobby and his love of life. He was a welcome counterpart to the drama of the last 4 seasons. I would rather watch a show that centers mainly about YOU then these whackos! And Carole, being related to the Kennedy’s? Ridiculous! She was what? The wife of the son of the sister of Onasis who was once married to Jackie-O so that makes Caroline and the late John Jr her cousins? WHAT does Bravo take us for? Do they seriously think this season with these new women was going to make us happy? Jill, tell BRAVO for me, to get a life! A REAL one, and also while your at it? Tell them to give YOU your OWN show! AND yes, I do miss Bethany on the show. She went off to do her own show, and I think you should too!

I watched it last night It was just a bunch of noise drunks talking over each other.Romonia is disturbed she need an intervention. Now that would make a goood stoty line Romona goes to treatment.I will miss seeing you on the show., not so much Kelly she was not real to me. And Alex and Simon some how seemed peverted to me. Good luck glad your out of the rat race.

I watched last night, against my will, and overall thought the new show/ladies are OK. I’ll probably keep tuning in, but NY lost their magic when Bethany left. Not because of Bethany personally, but because she was a integral piece of the whole pie. It would be like on of the cast members of “Friends” leaving. Seperately, none of them are a big deal but together – pure fun/magic. That’s how NY was way back when. The public has a short memory, look at Oprah. I’m not a fan of Romona’s, but she is entertaining as heck. The show will go on and it’s going to do well. It’s time to move on Jill. White knuckling this thing only hurts you. And, oh, yeah, Simon and Alex who……..?

  84. Milly said:

I Love you Jill and missed you. I love how you say what you think, and I love your sense of humor. You are a beautiful woman and I just can’t believe you aren’t on the show this year.

  85. Mary Townson said:

Jill this season RHoNy is a joke, no wonder Bravo waited so long to air it. Romona is just a drunk, and Mario is as sleezy as ever, most likely banging the help. I agree with the person that said you should write a book about your experience being on the show and what really happens with these ladies. I’m sure it would be a best seller. Will not be watching the show again.

  86. Teaghan said:

So I’ll be honest here. I posted on my timeline that I felt the new season looks terrific and I am glad there are changes however I feel it was a mistake to let you, Jill Zarin, go.
I felt that you were a staple the the franchise and like you, I am afraid of change, especially drastic change.

What worries me is that you are so heartbroken about this and it is obvious. You wear your heart on your sleeve and that makes for good TV. Alex McCord seems lost too, I saw her feedback video on Rumorflix.com and felt sad for you ladies. It seems that both of you have lost your own identity as who you are as people. You let the show and the fame get to you and build a new you without humbling yourself that this could all be taken away. You should always do that, someone can pull the plug and it can all go away.

The difference between you and Alex is that Alex has not spoke her mind about her pain of being fired as you have, and let me tell you, you are so refreshing – your honesty.

One day I hope you will reveal what Andy Cohen said to you when he called you after you were fired…over the phone. I understand you wanting to keep that business relationship over but I have to be honest, I think it is over forever, I don’t think they are going to offer you a show nor do I think they will invite you back to the series. I can see you play it smart, but perhaps you will gain some other form of fame and fortune if you reveal how the firing went down maybe in a book or a show.

I hope to see you around but I also hope to see you put your feet on the ground and let this go, sooner rather than later. It hurts me to see someone so lost.

The Real Housewives of NYC cannot be the RHONYC without Jill Zarin. You were and are an original. I watched tonight expecting to see “the girls” and was totally surprised and saddened that you were not there. (Yes, I live under a rock). I do not know what the heave Bravo was thinking, but I would guess they are concerned over heightened tensions since there was a suicide of a cast member’s husband on another similar show. They only kept Ramona because the “crazy” factor ensures viewers, and Simon could never be a real housewife, try as he may.

I appreciated the way you tried to grow and learn from the painful events of Season 3 in the last season you participated in. It was brave and classy of you to share that with the public. You will be missed. I will miss watching you. And no, I probably will not continue to watch the NY series, although LuAnne is a joy and Ramona is a joke.

Be well, and always be you. :) No apologies.

So i am loving Aviva…. she has a good sense of humor and her personality just seems awesome to me… so out of the three new ones, she is my fav. Heather seems like a strong personality and not really getting along with Ramona, which reminds me of you and Ramona. Carol didnt really make an impression on me. She seems very successful and driven but I havent really seen enough of her to love her. I am thinking I just really like jewish women bc I believe Aviva is jewish and gotta love the fact she is related to Fran as well :)

I missed you so much on the show! It feels as if they are completely redoing it, as if they dont want to even mention the 4 of your names. Its as if they are acting like seasons 1-4 didnt happen. I wish they would have kept you and Sonja, and canned the rest. Ramona is very obnoxious, and I will never see what people see in her. She is a nasty, rabid human being. I do like the new ones, just wish they had kept you and Sonja, and not Ramona and LuAnn. I feel like if you and Sonja could have gotten to know each other better, yall could have been REALLY close. I wiss you Jill!!

I have been a “hard-core” Team Jill member from the get go! I will miss you terribly, but I will follow your blogs. I watched pieces of the new “show” and was honestly disgusted. I firmly believe that your mother raised you as my beloved mother did, “Always be a lady.” The only lady-like behavior I saw on the show was from LuAnn (when she wasn’t being attacked by Ramona) and Aviva. I probably will watch the next show to see how Ramona wiggles out of her heavily veiled threat again LuAnn’s children (how low can she crawl??). I will miss you terribly. My best wishes to you and your lovely family! Margaret

I wish you and your family well! I sincerely hope to see you on TV again. I definitely miss you so much! Take care. xoxo

What was Bravo thinking? Letting you go Jill and keeping Ramona! I love you Jill. You are the real deal. I can hardly stomach Ramona any longer. I was tired of Kelly, so glad she is gone. Alex was getting to be too much as she tried to manage everyone’s relationship.

Bravo, please bring back Jill as soon as possible! At least, if you want the 5th season to be a hit!!!!!

I thought it was a little slow, but to be fair there were 3 new women being introduced so naturally that was to be expected. I will definitely tune in, I love Ramona and Sonya. I can’t wait to see more of Carole also… After watching and ESPECIALLY after reading her blog, I think she will be an excellent addition to the show! Her wit and sarcastic way of speaking remind me of Bethenney. I’m looking forward to watching!!

  101. jane said:

I must admit I always thought you were and instigator of sorts, not in a mean girl way. However, you kept the show interesting. I think Bravo may have made a mistake by adding three new housewives at one time. The same applys to reality tv as in scripted tv shows, you have to like the charaters of the series. I did not take to any of the new ladies. Actually I am going to stop watching all housewive series except Beverly Hills. Most of the women on rhw are beging to come accross as embarssing as Mob wives! It is one thing to have a little drama, but it is getting rediculous. You should be glad you are no longer doing the show.

  102. Alison said:

So this show so far seems like Luanne vs. Ramona – and 3 new people that are in the middle. While Sonja just is entertaining.

the show has never been as good compared to when you and Bethany were best buddies. You two were so funny and real. Guess then it all stopped feeling real – and more like acting and appearances. Luann was always snooty but now she is outright obnoxious. Ugh, calling herself “attractive” puleeze. The new girl with the artifical leg is totally unlikeable, boring and snooty too. Like Radizwell and Heather – smart and confident. Glad dumbell Kelly’s been sent to pasture, but miss Alex (not Simon). They should have kept you and Alex and Ramona and dumped all the rest. I don’t blame Ramona..Luann’s off her rocker

How different you think all the girls are from each series?

  113. Karen said:

Well, I think Bravo made a mistake by not asking you back. I am glad to see Kelly and Alex there, both were really annoupying and boring. The new women,,, well it’s hard to say at this juncture because it’s just so new. I definitely missed your character on the show…. Not sure why they decided that, but a definite mistake. Romona has become an inebriated characature of herself, and I agree with the viewer that she needs to get to AA. Thought the greatest line tonight was when Luanne said “Pinot-filled” head /hat …. Omg I laughed so hard! Good luck with your business ventures and your business proper! I follow you on twitter and made the comment about bravo not liking women who really work for a living!

  114. Rob said:

I liked all the new girls. Unfortunately, the only thing missing was YOU. I understand why Bravo kept Ramona: she’s the chief shiznet stirrer. I’m sure they have to have someone to keep everything stirred up. Otherwise, it would be boring. I’d sure like to see Bravo give you your own show!! Miss you, Jill. Even though you’ve “graduated”, you should still go back and visit and be on camera every now and then!!!

  115. Mimi said:

I read the blog, and I took Jill at her word that all comments would be published. I will admit, I didn’t read each comment word for word. But I did read the majority and came to realize that pretty much all of them are positive. On the one hand I wasn’t too surprised. This Jill’s personal blog and therefore the majority if not all readers would be pro Jill. But as I stated in the beginning, I took Jill at her word that this was unedited and all comments would be published. Only now I’m not so sure, my comments though not pro Jill, but are honest and representative of many fans. Unfortunately, every time I try to post my comments, an error appears. I’m hoping this means nothing, but it does seem strange. Nevertheless, I will write again and see if my opinions make it through.

I have a fan of all the housewives series, having watched each series and every episode of each. Other than RHODC I like each series and find them entertaining and enjoyable.

When RHONY started I really enjoyed all the cast members. Each one of them had their little quirks about them that annoyed me, but for the most part I liked the first couple of years. Though honestly, I never cares for Kelly. She was the oddest person and so out of touch with reality person I had ever seen on a show who wasn’t acting. I truly feel there is something mentally wrong with her and she needs to seek professional help.

I like the majority of people, really liked Jill the first year. But, like most people, each subsequent year my enjoyment kept diminishing. She knew she was liked and I feel it went to her head. The year she went after Bethenney was the year she wrote her own goodbye. The last year when they went to Morrocco, was so painful to watch. The way Jill treated Alex made me ill. In my opinion Jill blamed Alex for her and Bethenney’s friendship diminishing. The friendship fell apart because of Jill’s inability to ever admit fault. Her arrogance is embarrassing to watch.

Why Bravo ever hired Cindy was a mystery to me. She had zero personality and screen presence. Also she was void of any type of personality. When she went to lunch I believe with her parents or mother and only took one of her twins and was unable to handle the one, OMG quite telling.

Luanne in my opinion, always was condescending. She always thought and still does IMHO herself superior to everyone else. I never want to see a family break up, but a part of me says karma well you know the saying and well maybe she should think about this.

But what really truly finally did me in with these women was the reunion. The way the brunettes acted and treated mainly Alex was deplorable. The way they all mocked her, talked down, bullied, tried to ignore and belittle actually I could go and on but I’m sure everyone ready knows. I feel the only mistake Bravo made when they fired the gals was instead of firing Alex it should have been Luann.

Its a proven and well known fact that Jill had control over what posts were printed on her Bravo blog. So of course they were all positive. Would you allow negative comments be printed about you? I honestly don’t know if Jill truly believes everyone loves her, if she is in bigger denial than Kelly or if she thinks that she is fooling everyone by trying get us to believe/think that everyone loves her and misses her and that without her on this show its going to fail due low ratings because she Jill Zarin isn’t on it anymore.

When you think about it, its really quite sad that someone is so out of touch with reality or IMHO thinks they are so much smarter and arrogant they think they are better than the majority of us.

Sorry Jill, don’t want to burst your bubble. But I don’t think Bravo would fire you and the other ladies because of a couple of fans displeasure with them. There are many many of us who wanted you and the other ladies gone or we would stop watching the show. Not the other way around. Like I state before, I just wish they had taken The Countless Luann and left Alex instead. Alex actually came from true money and had class. She’s actually the smartest of all you girls and the kindest. Never quite understood why you hanged up on her and didn’t like her. I finally came to the conclusions it was because you couldn’t blackmail her and therefore didn’t kiss your behind.

Now I will try and post these comments again. If I take you at your word they should appear exactly as written. Hopefully you have the integrity, honesty and have changed like you have been preaching to everyone for years.

Thank you and seriously, move on we all have!

Don’t think I will be watching very much this season. I agree with other people replying to your blog. I think they should have kept Alex. Luann is a bully, saw it over the last season. And you were somewhat of a bully as well. But I do miss you this season. And I really do not care for Sonja. Didn’t like her last season. She plays everyone and is a back stabber. Luann seems to be the in the driver’s seat so for the season. Think it’s going to be a battle with all the ladies this season. Not really crazy about the new ladies. I just don’t like there personalities. Ramona has already clashed with one on the first episode. If I do watch, can not imagine what the season will offer.

I have not watched the show, and I won’t. It is too much that Bravo wiped out most of the cast. It is not the same, and I just don’t have the energy to start all over with a new cast of characters. I really think it is about $$$$ and I am so tired of everything revolving around money. I live in an entirely different world than you do. (I am a widow with a 12 y.o. son at home and battling terminal cancer and had to sit there when the doctor explained that if I didn’t have my co-pay they unfortunately couldn’t give me my chemo) so it is an entirely different world. I enjoyed the past seasons and it gave me a break from all the worries in my life. I am sorry that you and the other ladies aren’t there anymore to put a smile on my face every now and then. I also want to applaud you on the many charitable things that you do. I will miss you and the show.

Honestly I am not quite sure why you posted on my blog and a longer commentary than what even I wrote? I think there are other blogs out there that like to say negative things about celebrities and tv shows that you would enjoy more. My fans tend to be positive happy and sensitive people who care about me and know I have feelings too. That I use my website to talk to my fans..defined as people who like me or think they like me. They may not ALWAYS agree with me and I love a good debate..but one with love in it as feel. Not mean. Meanness is NOT welcome in Jill Zarin’s house. XOXO Jill

The show was boring and slow w/the exception of Ramona needing to put her comments and lies on a tape recorder, she brings nothing new, get rid of her. Bravo, you lose a viewer. Andy is always biased too. Either do an interview without injecting your bias Andy, you go with whichever way the wind blows. Sad.

    Hello Jill,

I just wanted to say that the RHONY is not the same without you. To some degree, I also miss Kelly and Alex. I thought the show was very boring and could not connect with the new Housewives. However, Ramona is still one of my favorites and if I continue to watch the show, it is only because of her. As a fan of RHONY, I don’t understand the change and I will not be a fan of new RHONY for very long. I don’t care about “Yummie Tummie”, “Rule #27″ or the Ex-Wife whose husband slept with LuAnn and Sonja. BRAVO, RHONY was not broke, why the change?

    Hi Jill,
I’m from Australia & we don’t have season 5 yet, so I’ve just finished season 4….not too happy that you won’t be in the next season :( Alex drove me nuts…not sure if she is back in season 5…let’s hope not. Maybe you should make a return in season 6!! xx

I know people hate Ramona, and rail on her bc of her crazy eyes and who she she horirble to the people she interviewed, but I really like her. And, I think she’s a great businesswoman, and gave the candidates she interviewed really good advice about the business world. You never say, I’m sensitive, or act the way some of them were acting. Just saying, I don’t think she’s as bad as others say. And her magazine covers shows some resemblance of Avery.
