Amy Winehouse RIP

Screen shot 2011-07-23 at 6.38.19 PM

I was very saddened to hear the news of Amy Winehouse’s passing. No matter the cause, this is a great loss to music and a sad day. We will now never know where her talent would have taken her. I hope people will use this as an inspiration to help themselves and friends with problems regarding drugs & alcohol.

Here is a clip from People with her last performance only three days ago.

She seemed like such a sad person. Addiction is terrible, no worse. May she rest in peace.

Jill! I am a big fan of yours from day 1 of RHONY. I agree with your sentiments here about Amy Winehouse – SUCH a tragic loss – and a lesson to myself, actually. And I support you in the craziness that is this “reunion” pt. 1 – dying to see pt. 2. But really – you are SUCH the voice of reason and normalcy – I love your loyalty in not letting R go off on L’s parenting (when you look at the SHOW, L has such a SWEET relationship with V, unlike R’s… a little diva in the making… I DIGRESS.) You’re so cool, and being a single woman one month younger than Bethenny F… *sigh* I wish I lived in NYC and could be your friend. You’re solid. True. Honest. Likable. Lovable. And Bobby is an AMAZING support and sweetie to you, from what we get to see. I think you rock in every way. :) Power on.

I’m sad for the loss of a woman who was still so young and had gifts to share…I hope she has peace. Sorry to go off topic but I just watched the reunion. I’m so sickened by Ramona and Alex, they are just vicious and gross. Sonja doesnt seem much better. I hate to have the karma that Ramona and Alex have made for thier selves. kudos to you Jill for sticking up for luann and her kids. Trust me Jill sane, good people can see through Ramona and Alex’s hate campaign. wishing you and your family many blessings Jill!

Jill, you said on Twitter to comment on your latest blog, so I apologize that this has nothing to do with Amy Winehouse. I really think that you have demonstrated to grow the most (on the show at least) out of any of the Housewives this season. Why? Because you’re proving that you’re human. Did you make mistakes in the past with Bethenny, perhaps? Maybe. But showing that you want to strive to be a better woman and a better friend (as I feel you’ve done this season) proves to me that you’re a person worth knowing and seeing every week. I can’t help but like you. Mazel tov. :)

So sad about Amy Winehouse. She was a great musician.

Even sadder—watching seven grown women act the way the rhonyc act the way all you did tonight! If that is class, I am glad I am not classy!

You’re so REAL jill. I also just love the fact you have red hair because my mom and 2 sisters have red hair, so that’s a plus! I love reading your blogs, and following you on twitter. You’re very inspirational. I love ya!

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Her voice was soulful and unique. What could have been…… I kept waiting for her to get it together. Very sad

What a soulful voice. She will be missed. Would have loved to see what would have happened if she could escape the drug addictions.

I love her music, and we will not ever know who she truly was…maybe in her parents eye’s she was great daughter and for us she was great artist….God Bless you Amy and your family…

so this is your latest post… so here are my thoughts about you in the first part of the reunion….. you held her own and defended yourself, which i was so proud, because you remained respectful of the other women and did not throw them under the bus to make yourself look better ;) You complimented when necessary, threatened when you had to, and were honest with how you feel ….. love you lots and i cant wait to see the second part… After last season’s reunion being a disaster.. i was nervous about how this one would turn out… you made this one happier and better bc you didnt take an crapola!!! I love the double standards the blondes have btw and how they make ramona into a saint or something YUCK… oh and i want to punch Alex in the face. may sound mean but she REALLY irritates me and it takes a lot for me to say something outright mean since i usually am like Bobby , “PEACE AND LOVE “

Is Alex looking for a pay raise…She is trying to get into every one’s business. She looked “stupid” last night..I really hope someone tells her to “shut Up”

agreed, how many more tragic examples do addicts need before they seek recovery?
Dear Jill, I also wanted to say that I’m a fan of the Housewives and I have to say I think you are the most authentic of them all! You are who you are, you stay true to yourself and you’re not afraid to apologize or try to amend your behavior when necessary. Just wanted to say that, since last season you didn’t come across so well, but this season you truly lived up to your own description of yourself in the opening credits. I think you’re great! Thanks for letting us into your life!

My son fights a battle daily with drugs and alcohol daily….one day at a time and he’s okay.
BUT…..OMG!!!! You ladies made me proud to be a brunette….more gray than brown, but nonetheless. Just makes me wish I were rich, and successful, and running in your circle….I would love to have you for friends. NONE of you are perfect….but as real as they come and folks that I could trust. Looking forward to the next part of the reunion show. I’ll be rooting the “Brownie Pack” on!!! Goooooooooooo Brownies!!!!! LOL!!!

Jill, how many invites does a real high society lady like you get per week? I’m sure it’s just ridiculous. LOL(@U!!)
