Last week, it was reported that Kelly Bensimon is the only reality star who has signed up for next season’s Real Housewives of New York. The rest are reportedly holding out for six-figure deals.

Asked about the salary demands, Zarin told Usmagazine.com: “I think that in an ensemble cast, it’s hard to have demands because I think all women are the same. I think all women should be treated identically. I don’t think one is more valuable than other.”

NOTE FROM JILL: I WAS NOT TALKING SPECIFICALLY ABOUT OUR SHOW OR OUR NEGOTIATIONS. THIS WAS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT

“I’m not saying someone new on the show would be valued the same as someone who’s been on the show three years,” she said – presumably referring to newcomer Bensimon – at a launch party for the Wendy Williams Show Monday in NYC. “But I think that the cast is the cast. Take an ensemble like Friends. They felt the same way about each other, even though some became more famous than others and some were more liked. They all took care of each other, and I think that’s the way it should be.”

Asked if she’s coming back, Zarin told Us, “You’ll have to watch and see what happens. I can’t announce anything.”

Bravo has confirmed it is “casting for additional housewives” for next season amid reports about the salary dispute.

But Zarin told Us she has “no idea” about casting. If someone’s been hired, “I definitely don’t know who she is,” she said.

Given the recent table-flipping drama on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, how will editors spice things up next season?

Said Zarin: “It’s not up to them to amp it up, it’s up to us — if I’m back. It’s up to us to just live our lives the way it is. The editors do a really good job of editing it.”

Jill, I heard a rumor that Zarin Fabrics (the building) is up for rent. Is that true? If so why are you and Bobby giving up your business.

I just read that article from US Magazine. Your not working actors unless your shows are scripted and presented as being “faux real” Also these days when actors are taking pay cuts just to keeping working asking for six figues ( if that’s the case) is ridiculous.

With expensive homes in Manhattan and the Hampton’s a figure that high is bordering on GREED, Those actors on FRIENDS were WORKING, acting is there JOB, If all this is too hard to do. If you feel this is too much like a JOB and you wont do it without cash “six figures to be exact”, It’s time to move on. or maybe curtail your spending. Are all your little business ventures not working out all that well?

I love the show but none of you are worth that much.

I will be surprised if you post this it does not coincide with the usual Zarin Love fest.
