Yesterday more than 400 guests where at the Plaza, the Plaza Ballroom that is. The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center held their most important event of the year in style. DJ Tomm Finn provided music, Macy Gray performed, there was dancing and dinner. The mix of guests included Tory Burch, LL Cool J, Gillian Miniter, Robert DeNiro, Jill Zarin, Bobby Zarin, R Couri Hay, Chris Meloni and many more. Let’s hope they were able to surpass the amazing $2.8 million they raised last year as all of it goes towards programs, research, and patient care at the center.

Loved your dress Jill, you and Bobby make such a handsome couple. What an elegant room; thanks for sharing! Hope Ally has a great time at her prom. Bet there were a lot of tears of joy in your house tonight!! I have two daughters, one is 22, a college grad who lives in NYC and the youngest is 18, just finished her freshmen year in college, their proms seems like yesterday. Have a great weekend!!

Jill, I hope you read this. I am a stranger out here that is noticing that you are moving way too fast and getting way too caught up in a lot of stuff that is meaningless. Two computers going and worried about people not hitting your sites enough is one of the signs. You need to slow down.. You don’t need to know everything about everyone and you have already proved that you can be popular if you put the effort into it. But it is all full of the sound and fury, signifying nothing. Are you really having fun? I hope I am wrong and I hope you are happy and having fun. Another thing, your economic theory is just adopting the bs that everyone has been told. Sure, spending 16K on a purse is better than not spending in this economy but the point is you could spend your money on better things that go to the fundamental core of people in need. I for one, only have rent for another couple of months, can’t afford health insurance and I am very sick. To see you spend money like that on a stupid pocket book made me cry buckets as it could have paid my rent and living expenses for 5 months. Spend your money but spend it smartly – in order to truly help people!

I hope all of you have a peaceful and restful summer. Bobby is his usual handsome self of course.

Thank you for your email. I have said in the past I did not spend 16k and the camera made it seem that way for good TV..so I will just leave it at that. I agree…this totally made me a crazy person thinking I have to answer every email including yours I get over 1200 emails a day not including blogs from here..bravtotv.com, startcam.com and therealfansofjillzarin.com. I feel a connection to everyone but will have to step back like other people in the public eye or I will have a nervous breakdown.Thank you for noticing the obvious future if I don’t stop. Jill

Memorial Hospital is one of the most important and blessed institutions in the country and the people who work there are special souls to be admired.
I had personal experience with the hospital, my husband died there at age 39, and to give something back I volunteered.. not enough good things to say.

I’m so thrilled that you and Bobby went to this cancer fund raiser. We lost my brother 2 months ago to cancer, and it’s a horrible disease. It’s terribly painful, and has a way of taking a person’s dignity away. At the end they are unable to do anything for themselves, and they are often quite aware that this is happening.
We need to find a way to cure it before too many more people have to suffer such pain, and before too many more families suffer the lose that so many of us have.
Thank you for taking the time to first of all go to this event, and second for reading this (well, I hope you do..lol)

Hello Jill, I adore you on the show: you’re my favorite housewife. I also admire that you are apart of so many great causes. Just wondering: Do you support marriage equality? I hope you do. If so please contact your State Senator. We can really use allies like you!!!

JILL, please check out kelly’s blog on bravo. She is saying that she texted you at 9:45 on the night of the halloween party. Even if she did, it doesn’t mean that you received the text in time not to leave the other party. Anyway, saw your visceral reaction to her claims that everyone knew she was going to be late… and thought I would let you know that she is continuing that claim..and I don’t believe her. How in the world do we get her off of the show? She is taking claim for the show’s success as well!

let me start by saying I love the show and I am big fans of both you and Bethany. I am writing this becuase when I saw that you supported cancer research and went to a fundraiser for Memorial Sloan Kettering I was thrilled because I am currently under care at that hospital, and what an amazing place to be if you are diagnosed with cancer. I was diagnosed April 2008 at the age of 34 with satage 4 colon cancer that had already spred to my liver. But after recieving chemo and then surgery to remove the tumors and then more chemo I am happy to say right now my scans are clear and I am off treatment. So thank you again for supporting cancer research. I hope all is well with your daughter and I hope to see all of the housewives back for another seoson well except for one, not to be rude but I did not care for Kelly. I love the website!

I just wanted to say my bf died at this hospital 2 years ago of brain cancer. He unfortunately was brought there too late. I do think had he been brought there sooner, things may have turned out differently.
Also wanted to say to Jill, you are an inspiration to me. I too have a brain tumor, and some days find it very hard to get out of the house, but when I watch the show I feel like I gotta get up and live my life.
Wish you were my mom Jill,
Dia

Isn’t Sloan Kettering Kelly’s charity, too.
Did you run into her at the event.
As I understand she donates proceeds from her clothing line to Sloan Kettering.

Jill,
Can you produce a new t-shirt the caption “I’m the Ambassador for Wool”?
I’d love to buy one. LOL I guess the Countess isn’t the only one with a title!!

Wonderful cause. Thank God for people like you doing what you do! I recently lost my father to colorectal cancer. He fought hard for 2 years. My best friend.

Jill, I really enjoyed watching this season and felt you came across as the most sincere, big hearted and genuine individual. You are a wonderful daughter, mother and wife. I look forward to next season and all the crazy antics!
